Wow, I hadn't thought of that! Won't it be really something when a Native American became president?
... nobody I know.

A historic day indeed. However, let's just remember that before being African (barely ;) ) or Hawaiian or American, he is, first and foremost, a politician. ;)

It was brought home to me just how far we have come and are still coming in the good old USA. Several teenagers got on the bus at Market St tonight. I was sitting towards the back and a few of them ended up standing next to my seat. They were of various nationalities and fashion statements. It was most gratifying to hear the African American kid with the complicated braid hairstyle who looked like he just stepped out of a gangsta rap video say to the geeky Asian kid with the wire rimmed glasses and North Face backpack who was surfing the net on his iphone, "You wanna grab a burger and play a game of pool before you go home?" and to hear the Asian kid say, "No, I can't I got alot of homework and we stayed downtown too late already." It warmed my heart.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....
