I got here through the Gradual Interview, around the time ROTE was published. Never became a member, though. But this week I took the plunge. Don't know why I waited that long...

I found it (and joined) today after searching to see if Nekhrimah actually meant something in another language.
Covenant turned in time to see a short figure detach itself from the burning mud, step queasily onto the hard ground.

The figure was scarcely taller than the skest, and shaped like them, a misborn child without eyes or any other features. But it was made of mud. Flames flickered over it as it climbed from the fire, then died away, leaving a dull brown creature like a sculpture poorly wrought in clay. Reddish pockets embedded in its form glowed dully.

Not that I could find. Mostly, people used it for their handles on other sites or for their characters in some online games. Seriously though... SRD LOVES to use foreign words in his writings, so I just assumed Nekhrimah was just another one.

Actualy, it is a combination of words to form a single concept:

Nekhrimah

- Nekh, meaning that one which was Chosen, or to choose.
- Ri, to bite.
- Mah, possesive, literally, me.

SO it means: Chosen, Bite Me. A clear reference to Linden Avery.

I believe the authentic phrasing is "Curses! Foiled again." spoken while twirling one's moustaches...

 I know. I'm rather miffed. As annoyed as the time I went looking for the Gradual Interview in Woth on the Downs in Northern England, and was forced to wrestle with an obese man known only as 'the Codian' in Cunning Bastard Moor.

 I tried that once, but by the time I'd walked all the way there I was so full of scrumpy and pies that I got the whole thing jumbled up, and ended up wrestling with a cunning man clutching Codeine upon an obese bastard called Moore. 8O

...and here was I thinking I'd go for a trip down memory lane (as I 've forgotten how I actually found KW and I decided I'd look here for teh answer) BUT I've never written in this thread. So there goes that brilliant idea!

I must have been chronicles surfing. I remember it was here I found out about the Last Chronicles; and just after SRD had left a message here thanking everyone for attending the 2007 Elohimfest.

...and the rest his history! :D
