PLEASE READ: Guidelines for after AATE is released 19th Oct.
If you haven't read this post, please make sure you read it!
Hi everyone.
We're getting close to the release of AATE (YAY). So, we want to let everyone how this forum will work from the 19th of October 2010.
From the 19th spoilers can be posted in threads other than the spoiler thread we set up. This means: for those who haven't read the book we recommend you do not come to this forum until you have read the book or, if you have only read part of the book, you are careful as to which threads you choose to read. So, basically, this forum will run like all the other chronicle forums. Create as many threads as you like. Discuss what ever you want to discuss without using spoiler tags
HOWEVER
please make sure if you create a new thread that your thread title does not include spoilers.
For example:
If Linden dies half way through the book and you're going to start a new thread about it you would not call it
Implications of the death of Linden
instead you'd call it something like
Implications of what happens to Linden
This way, people who are visiting the forum and haven't read the entire book can still visit the forum without coming across spoilers. If a moderator decides your thread title contains a spoiler the title will be amended and you will receive a pm to let you know.
Please note: If you haven't read the entire book and you choose to open a thread we can't guarantee you won't encounter spoilers. So we recommend you don't read threads until you've finished the entire novel or you create your own thread to discuss what you want to discuss.
Sorry if we appear to be stating the obvious but we just want to be clear so that there aren't any problems.
Happy reading (and discussing)!
Thanks.

If Linden does die half way through the book, I personally don't mind learning that prior to reading the book.Seareach wrote: If Linden dies half way through the book and you're going to start a new thread about it you would not call it

You're all despicable!!!
Unless there are more chapters from her POV. Then we'll have to hear her thoughts whine, and she'll probably be whining even more due to her inability to speak.Madadeva wrote:ok. I shouldn't do this ... but ... she doesn't die ... but her mouth is magically sealed shut so we don't have to hear her whine!!
Better for her to just die. Or be in a coma or something. Or grow a backbone.

You mean when the bullets were ripping through her chest? Yeah, I liked that part too.Auleliel wrote:One of my favorite Linden scenes thus far.Berenford wrote: (Disingenuously) "But I thought Linden died at the beginning of The Runes of the Earth, along with Jeremiah and Roger?"

Just a friendly reminder to everyone: tomorrow (the 19th of October) is the day.
As from tomorrow: this forum will contain spoilers in threads other than the spoiler thread.
If you have not read the first post of this announcement thread please make sure you read it so you know how this forum will work after the 19th of October
Thanks. Seareach (and dlb & HLT)

Hell, if Linden dies halfway through AATE, I'm starting a bonfire with my Last Chronicles books.Auleliel wrote:If Linden does die half way through the book, I personally don't mind learning that prior to reading the book.Seareach wrote: If Linden dies half way through the book and you're going to start a new thread about it you would not call it

Well, if you feel the need to be in a group about Linden and don't hate her, you could join LA (Linden's Army--for the staunch Linden supporters) or OPAL (Opinions Pending About Linden--for those who are on the fence about Linden or are somewhat indifferent to the pro/anti Linden discussion). There may be other groups out there, but I don't know what they would be.Horrim Carabal wrote:I'm new here. Is there a group for people who actually like Linden? Or at least, tolerate her? I'm not a hater.
