Reminds me of Pink Floyd - The Wall.

Hello! Life is good right now. Busy. Summer is very pleasant. Reading a great book. Have a wonderful wife and kids. So tired. Going to bed

Goodnight.

I feel tired and frustrated with work. I'm getting my copy center set up to the new code but at the same time it's in disarray, it's making Sorus's life much harder and more frustrating and I've had to uproot the majority of her stuff which I hate doing and now I have to implement all these required binder things which are essentially a load of extra stupid time consuming steps that make my job that much more complicated. For example, instead of just putting the shipping invoices from ups and usps into a single file for the month and just taking an extra minute to go through them if I happen to need to check on a shipment which is rare, I now need to keep them in a binder, separated by day and then at the end of the month move them all into a monthly section in the back of the binder. SO, that means I have to take the time to 3 hole punch all the invoices and put them in the binder as well as having to print out a days end manifest and put that with it AND I have to keep ups and usps in separate binders. The new filing system I just had to set up is a load of crap as well. GRRRR.... Hopefully I will be able to finish setting up the rest of the copy center required binders tomorrow. Then I have to steel myself for finishing the rearranging of the drawers job which will be monstrous. Ugh. I better freaking win this stupid cpd contest after all this. I better at least place. OH, and I forgot to mention that I now need to train everyone up on all the new practices and procedures. Like I have time for that....

Here's something a little different. I got a jury summons for February 14. The term of service is for a week. Of course, it's also the week our office is hosting a meeting of our division.

So is it a good thing or a bad thing that you might have to miss the division meeting?

It would have been a better thing if I had had to have been on the road for it. It could have gotten me out of a hotel stay somewhere.

I feel like crapola. I had a cold last week that cleared up last weekend. Then, maybe Tuesday or so, I popped out in a rash along my hairline on the left side. I thought maybe it was from switching shampoos, but I also had a swollen lymph node. Then the rash started to spread. And burn. And then a friend mentioned she'd been diagnosed with shingles. 8O So I looked it up on WebMD, and went to the doc this morning. Sure enough, that's what I've got too. Aieee.

It does, however, explain why I was so cranky at work yesterday. I thought I was being a whinypants over my head hurting. But I had a good reason for being a whinypants, after all!

I had them about 5 years ago. It sucks. Just keep an eye on your eyes. make sure those lines of rash don't go near your eyes. if they do go to the emergency room. Did they give you Acyclovir ?

Valacyclovir (generic for Valtrex), and Neurontin for the pain. And yeah, the doc warned me about my eyes. Apparently the big warning sign for that is if the tip of your nose starts to burn -- so far, so good, at least on that score.
