"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I nominate Iztet from Inferno.

Great to have in-character interactions beyond just sending the turns. And some of the ideas he uses are very original)
A role-player, beware

I'll second Iztet. Hey, why not? I mean, I'll have to kill Iztet, along with the rest of you, but no reason we can't be cordial about it, right? :D

As an FYI, I'm intentionally excluding all of the Inferno characters, because I'd have to reveal secret info about what the characters are doing behind the scenes in order for a nomination to make sense. Which is sad, 'cause there are two or three that are really awesome from where I'm sitting, and there's no public record of that awesomeness.

Instead, I'll nominate Seska Karantanija from the Dark Ages game. Both in terms of the rich background the character has, and the total reasonableness of that background (she didn't reverse engineer a totally weird background just to explain a set of super-powerful stats)... plus the steady role-playing being done, she's my favorite character to GM for.
