It looks like Apophis has been dismissed as a credible threat.
Global manmade ecological disaster is much more likely to happen and we are working very hard to achieve it.

Shame if it turns out to be our greatest (and last) one. Mind you - avoiding it at this, the thirteenth hour, might be an even greater one. (I had this idea that the Avatar film could have been done on this premes, where some selected thousands had retreated into hermetically sealed (Eden Project like) bio-domes, only to re-emerge in a few thousand years and discover the remnants of those who had been left 'out-side' living in 'noble-savage' style harmony with the world, as we were meant(?) to).
