Toll the Hounds [Spoilers]

This one was slooooooooow. Much slower going than Reaper's Gale, I found. I enjoyed it, but it didn't have me reading with my nose to the page until the final act, and then HOLY HELL WHAT DID I JUST READ?
Question: what the hell did Hood do to Dassem??

Re the spoilered bit, Av- yes. Yes indeed.
I also loved the conclusion to Nimander's storyline, although the journey was a drag at points. They're not a cheery bunch.
And
Another question: what the hell was Humble Measure up to? Something to do with the Seguleh bodies under K'rul's Bar? That whole plot of his confused me.

Spoiler
Itkovian remains awesome. So glad he was able to triumph once again

Earlier in the series, you see her body in an Azath house (maybe the...Deadhouse, nyuk-nyuk-nyuk!)... at the same time, I don't know if she is truly dead, why Hood did what he did, etc. Though Dassem definitely believes his daughter is dead.

Yes, I remember that now! Also recall someone mentioning it in a discussion about the last Chaining. Man, I can see how you get these books better after a re-read!Orlion wrote:Earlier in the series, you see her body in an Azath house (maybe the...Deadhouse, nyuk-nyuk-nyuk!)... at the same time, I don't know if she is truly dead, why Hood did what he did, etc. Though Dassem definitely believes his daughter is dead.

Back to Toll the Hounds, as always Im picking up on things that I never caught before. I had forgotten Rallicks conversation with Raest near the beginning , it gives some early insight into Vorcans character, and I had never noticed that the carriages that Gruntle and his dead guards were escorting were loaded with that drink produced by the Dying God.
