I generally count it from 8am the next morning, to be honest, to account for US times.

Okay, all turns are in, and I'm going to be generous and accept the late submission since you all were pretty patient with me when it took months to finish the turn.

Having taken a quick look through the submissions, I feel I should direct people once again to this post:

Direct Actions are miraculous in nature. An instruction of what your followers are to do is a Command, not a Direct Action.

The purpose of Direct Actions is to allow you to do more god-like things in a turn without requiring Faith points; using them to issue Commands means you miss out on a lot of opportunity.

And we finally have a random event occuring. Was beginning to wonder if I'd coded it wrong. Too bad this is one of the boring ones that barely affect things.

In other news, I'm now having to evaluate just how powerful Faith is, and what I consider you all capable of. I had the vaguest idea, but I need something solid fast. Yes, I really do just wing it in this game.

Edit: Decision was easier than I thought. Just had to accept that I don't always get to decide how my ideas play out in a multi-player environment.

Yeah, it's your universe... so consider yourself the author, and consider us like... the movie studio who bought the rights. By the time we get done with it, maybe a couple of the characters will have the same names as your idea.

Did anybody ever read the Running Man? And compare it to the movie? That's what we do... take a Steven King story and turn it into a Schwarzenegger (with Jessie "the Body" Ventura backing him up, no less) action farce.

And what's amazing me right now is that last night I sat down and wrote 1000 words of fiction. (It's not very good fiction, but that's because it was single-sitting first draft with no revision.) Guess what it takes to get me writing is a deadline and someone else coming up with the idea.
