The dangers of football in Brazil
In the light of the forthcoming World Cup in Brazil the following story, reported in a news magazine I read might be of interest. In the town of Pio Xll on the 30 June, during an altercation over a sending off, a fist fight broke out between the offending player and the referee. The referee pulled out a knife and stabbed the player (who died on the way to hospital) and the crowd replied by storming the feild, beating the referee to death, quatering his body and mounting his head on a stake in the center of the pitch

'Have we not served you well'
'Of course - you know you have.'
'Then let it end.'
