Batman: Arkham Origins

Post by dlbpharmd »

The next game is expected in October, giving me 2 reasons to look forward to that month. I'm a big fan of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. A different company has developed this game, but it will use the same engine. More info can be found here.

Nice trailer. But the actual fights in game will probably be just as formulaic as the other games.

Arkham Asylum = beat up big guy and trick him into running into walls, beating up smaller enemies.
Arkham City = some of the same, but big bosses are beat up small enemies, then dodge attacks while using Batarang and other ranged stuff to damage, then run in and hit for a while while vulnerable, then repeat.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still probably play it.

Best comment I've seen: "What's Deadpool doing with Batman?!!?" Eheheh

Nice to see Black Mask, though.

This game should really be called "Arkham City 2," because that's what it is. It offers nothing new to experience, and there's certainly no "WOW!" factor as with the first 2 games. Also, it's glitchy as hell. It freezes often, and sometimes won't start at all. It feels like a game that was rushed to market without adequate testing.

From what I hear it's buggy on the PC version. That what you're playing?

I think they code it for the consoles first then port.
