Ye gods. The scary thing is, I would probably have gotten way into that if it'd existed 20 years ago.

I think I'll keep my roleplaying regulated to the realms of pixels. Not saying that's better or worse though.

Thank you ali. That's fascinating.

They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.

Just another case of the confluence between the real and the digital. Some day, there won't be a difference.

No great loss. Who wants the intarweb to know where you are every minute anyway? ;)

I don't see the point, but I understand that I am in the minority as far as my feelings about social media in general, so I won't get my soapbox out.

I'm also not ready for it to be Monday.

I have Monday off cause I accidentally asked for this weekend off (from last Friday through Monday) when I meant to ask for a weekend at the end of February off. I changed my schedule to work Friday but I kept the Monday off cause I have stuff to do at home.

Thank goodness it wasn't too hard to change my schedule for the time I'm actually supposed to be away so I can still go to my gathering.

Count me in.

Uh... I will still get paid, right?

I probably shouldn't joke. The company I'm working for is going through another major merger, which is probably going to result in a lot of layoffs. Not until the end of the year at the earliest, and I keep telling myself that I'd like to be out of there before then anyway, but I've been saying that for a while now.

I grew up without snow (other than an occasional light dusting and a couple of years where a couple of inches lay on the ground for a couple of days) so when I moved to NH I actually found the huge amounts of snow quite exciting.

There's part of me that wishes I was living there right now and making snowmen and having showball fights with my daughter.

NH is pretty near where I live, relatively speaking.

And snow is nice ... until the holidays have gone by. Then it's just a pain.

Of course, us New Englanders would never consider living anywhere else. The only thing worse than a crap-ton of snow is no snow.

Snow...that's like that frozen water stuff that falls from the sky, but is softer than hail, right? :D

I was close to the Mass state line when I was there - lived in Nashua. There was only one year I really remember a lot of snow where it ended up piled higher than my head when the snow plows went through, but I also remember it snowing on April 30th and May 1st one year and a total of 18 inches fell (gone about 3 days later though).

It did turn to horrible iced-over dark mush after a while and it did mean driving was a huge pain, but having not lived there my entire life I never really considered it a pain.

One of my cousins lives in Hull, MA. His wife has been posting pictures on FB of the snow in their neighborhood. Unbelievable. The weather gods really seem to have it in for 'em this year.

In case you're interested, Way, somebody's started a petition on Change.org to demand that Hades give Persephone back to her mother.

Sorus, I saw that news story about your employer. Hope you still have a job when it all shakes out...but maybe you should start looking now, just in case. ;)

Yep. I live two towns away from Nashua.

I know, right. Who believes that stuff? It's all groundhogs, I tell you. Groundhogs!

Laugh it up. Right now, I'm tempted to come down there.
