Eko's death was simply an empty death. I recall in one of the early Star Trek, Next Gen shows Lt Troi was killed and it was an empty death. Well, some years later she came back in one of those Time Travel/alternate universe eps and did something that made her death mean, basically, everything. It was about the best STTNG eps ever.

I'm hoping Eko will have one of those redeeming death episodes and it won't remain empty.

You can't actually like this show because it's like real life. . . black smoke monsters. People impossibly surviving plane crashes . . . everyone is gorgeous . . . this ain't real life.

I feel bad for Nathan Fillian; once again he marries a hot chick, only to have her drug him and leave......

I don't think Eko will be gone for long.

I predicted that Jack would cut open Ben and start making demands ... and I didn't have the guts to write it. So I am this time. Eko isn't gone, he's just... being utilized.

What has it been...8 eps of being in cages and sawyer getting beat up every scene? I did like the last 15 min of this ep, though. And yes waiting till feb sucks; I hope it's a fast 3 months.

Well, waiting for 4+ months, then getting the 6 episode mini season, and then the 3 month wait again before the second set of 16 or 17 episodes is far better than having to wait the entire 8 months all at once, IMHO.

Also, this Mini Season was themed with "Getting to know the Others", so it actually works well by itself, because the theme will change slightly when it returns. I'm excited by some of the things the Producers have said will be coming up in the second set of episodes.

Anyone gonna watch the show taking it's slot (Daybreak, starring Taye Diggs)? I'm interested to know how they are going to keep it entertaining for 13 weeks, repeating the same day over and over again. Alot of people got bored with Groundhog day, and that was only 2 hours of repeating the same day. I really liked Tru Calling, but, that was a different day being repeated every episode.

Who is Jacob? The guy who wants to kill Sawyer said that "Shepherd's not even on Jacob's list". What up?

Also, Jacks machinations are for naught. He is unaware that they are all trapped on "Alactraz".

Alos, where do you all think Locke took Sayid? I am eager to find out! Also, what do you think happened to Desmond?

I was wondering about jacob aswell, perhaps the guy with the eyepatch?

Locke told them they were going back for spades but on the way got Eko's prayer stick. did he go somewhere else aswell?

I am assuming Jacob must be Ben's boss, or if there is a competing tribe of "Others", then maybe Jacob is the leader of that group.

Eko's Jesus stick suggested looking North, so, Locke is probably going to a high spot, which will finally give them view of the other island (Either that or he's heading for where ever Eye Patch guy is hanging out, since when in the Pearl, he said "Well, then, I guess he'll be expecting us")

Locke and Sayid could potentially save Jack, Sawyer and Kate IF they can get the boat over to the other island PRONTO!

Or, as some have theorized, perhaps there is a tunnel system, which he will find, and maybe the perspective we last saw Locke and Sayid is earlier than the perspective we last saw Jack, Kate, and Sawyer, so they have more time than we think.
