I don't want to talk about it.
(Yes, I know that I already posted this in another thread. My brain is a bit addled. Deal.)
See! Thats why I ride my bike!
Glad you're okay. Wouldn't want to be alone for the NW here!

I dunno, Balon...isn't also kinda risky riding a bicycle on ice and snow? Do you use studded tires for your bike in wintertime?

David Neal. Perhaps if we started a petition they'd change it to real snow?

Right after the last vestiges of snow/ice (from the Dec 22nd snowstorm) were melted away by rain yesterday we now find ourselves in 5 inches! Everything is closed down. It's hitting most of the country, Albany (Ez/Fist) and Westchester County NY (where my parents and sister live) have been nailed. I hope my Mom's medical assistants can get to her today.

And apparently Maryland is a very nasty icebowl.
Schools are now closed in six states--The midwest was jammed last week. Major blizzards have almost shut down Vermont, NH and Maine. 2' to 4' inches an hour in Syracuse and Plattsburg, driving impossible-wind may pick up to 50mph tonight. (yes I'm watching the Weather Channel). Philadelphia under icestorm warnings.

WOO HOO! Finally, Toronto gets hit with 20 cm of snow! WEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I love it! Me and my little 4 year old Amelie were out playing for nearly an hour before our wife/mother came and demanded we come in for dinner (poop)
Hamilton got 100cm of snow!!!! Holy crap!
Any news from Winnipeg MM?
How about my brothers and sisters in the US?...

No new snow for the past couple of weeks, Usivius. Just COLD. Winnipeg has been stuck in a deep freeze since the start of the year, due to an arctic air mass that's been stubbornly hovering over the prairies. We recently hit a daytime low of -40 C, the coldest day in 5 years. (Actual temperature without windchill.)

HOLY SH!!!
- 40? WithOUT windchill?!
That's crazy!
OK, I will never complain about cold again...

Haha, wouldn't you know it, we're supposedly warming up this weekend. The forecast says we may reach +4 by Sunday. Now that's crazy!!
4 degrees above zero sounds downright tropical to me at this point...

yah, and about 2 or three days after that, the warm front hits us with temps at +7 to 10C !?

We finally melted off most of our ice, and have had snow about 3 times in the last week. It never amounts to more than an inch or so, but when it comes down the wind is bitterly cold.
My poor skin is really taking this winter hard.

The whole country has snow except for Halifax (Well probebly not Victoria either)
That big storm that hit the entire eastern side of the continent stopped about 70 KM from the city limits and we just got some flurries and rain.
We got a few cm today...and I mean a few; and the rest of the provence got 20-30cm...I mean Nova Scotia is not large, how the hell does Tatamagouche and Antigonish get over a foot and Halifax gets squat?

I've seen very little snow here (New Jersey) all winter--maybe a few inches total (6-8cm)
Last week a wintry mess blasted through the area leaving a whopping 2 or three inches (5-7cm ish) and lots of ice and sleet. Messy roads, schools and businesses closed for at least one day, temps in the single digits F (-15 or so C). This week temps are supposed to be in the forties! Crazy Northeast. Or El Nino or whatever!
