Sleuth was a great movie, and I agree than no remake is necessary.

sounds interesting, yet, I'm sorry to sound like a prude, "WHY" remake this classic? There is nothing about it that needs a revamp! No updated FX needed, no obsolete references...
C'MON!
Maybe they'll be using fancy, gratuitous 3D graphics on slick, modern kumpewters to do their sleuthing... :P
But the cast is interesting ... and whose directing?... Kenneth Branagh...
That's promising. Branagh usually associates himself with good projects.
