Leftover veggie penne pasta from Uno's (MagickMaker and I went there Saturday night, after I got back from taking Batty to college), romaine-salad-from-a-bag with balsamic vinegar, and a nectarine.

(I discovered awhile ago that plain balsamic vinegar -- no oil -- is a pretty good salad dressing. Plus it doesn't need refrigeration, so I can keep a bottle at my desk.)

The only problem is that I'm still hungry. I'm sure I'll be foraging later...

Mozzarella, tomato and fresh basil on whole wheat toast, "field greens" salad-from-a-bag, a red pear, and some rice pudding.

I've been nurturing this basil plant since spring of last year. One stalk survived the winter on my kitchen windowsill, so I kept it, thinking maybe it would sprout some more this year, but it never happened. I think this is the last hurrah -- I'll likely get one more sandwich out of it and that'll be it.

Well...

A caprese salad is made with fresh mozzerella, tomato and basil. The apptizer I call Individual Mozzerella Caprese that Jen made for the wedding and the bar-be-cue the week after the FBH finale uses the small fresh mozzerella balls, grape or cherry tomatoes, and basil, all threaded on either toothpicks or wooden skewers.

Your sandwich sounds like caprese to me. Did you use fresh, smoked, or regular mozzerella?

Regular mozzarella.

Those appetizers sound pretty tasty.

Lunch today was a Wendy's double with cheese and everything on it, plus heavy pickle and mayonnaise, a side ceasar sans croutons, and lots of ice water.

...I'm so ashamed...

Well, I had my 'Lunch' at 2AM, but I had a garden salad with ham/chicken (It was hard to tell), and fat free italian dressing. I have finally discovered the secret to getting in shape.

I've been looking forward to this.

Hyperception's very special, none better tuna salad on honey wheat with provolone and crisp lettuce, along with a cup of home made Jewish Penicillin...

I'm at work and just had a slice of pizza (beef) and a fancy Sobe health/energy drink.

Don't mind me, I'm just here in a brazen attempt to increase my post count. (Must...stay...in the...top 25...must...)

Awww...

Even brazen attempts to increase post counts are welcome here. Keep on posting!

It looks like lunch today will be CORN, as our refrigerator is still acting up. :(

Sorry about your misbehaving fridge. That's when canned food comes in handy.

Speaking of which...my lunch is Campbell's Sirloin Burger Chunky Soup.

A frozen Kashi sweet & sour chicken dinner thingie, some lettuce-in-a-bag lettuce (Lettuce Trio, I believe it was), a tangerine on steroids. (I forget the name -- they're the size of an orange but they peel like a tangerine, and they've got a knob of extra white stuff at the stem end.) And a Snickers bar.
