This is an interesting point. If altering past events could break the arch then I suspect that Foul would have been trying long and hard to influence someone like the Mahdoubt or possibly the Theomach into doing so. While he does try to utilize everyone in his plans it seems that only white gold does the trick in the end.

Her thoughts are the only things that make the books worth reading.
The introspective nature of SRD's works also makes them not worth making into movies.

Taking up the Time Travel argument, I assume the Elohim only prevent travel *backwards* in time. The Demonidm came forward,s and they summoned the power forwards through the Caesure.

They may also have no control over caesure-travel. Roger and the Croyel didn't travel by Caesure after all, the way Linden did the first time around. Probably they wouldn't survive it.

I suspect the Elohim can see the future to an extent.
Although they are complacent about there ability.

They don’t have a problem with roger and co going back in time with linden, because they have seen the outcome.

However. There is the ability of lindens son to consider here.
We are told he can create doorways to trap the Elohim.
Roger uses his ability only when the Theomach is out of range.
Roger knows he then has a chance to circumvent the Elohim ability?
That’s the impression I get for making the portal.

There must be more to Jeremiah’s use of his ability to gain the earthblood location that just a matter of convenience.
The true reason is the Elohim are blind at this point?
