I was rather fond of House of Chains. I think that might be my favorite. Midnight Tides, which I am currently reading has some pretty cool charactors and interesting concepts and events in it. It's also the first book that has had me SNORTING with laughter to the point I have to put the book down. Tehol and Bugg are absolutely hysterical. Can't wait until you get to them.

Can I just say something about Deadhouse Gates?
It's like reading The Two Towers (by Jrr Tolkein)..in the sence that, just as you are getting real comfortable with a story line, just when you're really getting into the scene...it switches to somewhere else.
I've been tempted to flip through to continue the the storyline that I am currently reading.
But that's a compliment.
It didn't work so well in Gardens...the scene's switched too fast, but in Gates, he pretty much nailed it.

I finished Midnight Tides and I think that might be my fave so far. I am holding out on reading anymore until Fist gets through Midnight Tides so we can read and discuss The Bone Hunters together.

Crap! I may have to tag along on that one. I've been waiting for an excuse to read Bonehunters. At the rate Fist has been reading, it could be sometime early next year.

Har har hardy har har!!! Pththth......
Heh.
Yeah, I paused after my reread of MoI. But I read the last 800 pages of my paperback version of HoC in a couple weeks, and have begun MT. I expect I'll read it within a few weeks. Hopefully two, but one never knows what might come up in rl.

Yeah, I also kind of quit my grand scheme to reread all of the books, in anticipation of Toll the Hounds (which, apparently, pat5150 has snagged an advance copy of -- didya see his note in the Other Sci-Fi/Fantasy forum? Rat bastard!

).
Ah well. I console myself with knowing that, with or without completing the reread, I cannot possibly be as clueless in reading "Toll the Hounds" as I was my first time through DG.

I guess that's true. Still, I am SOOOOOO glad I read 1-4 again. And it was every bit as exciting and awe-inspiring the second time around.

I did get through the first 3, for sure. Pretty sure I read HoC, too. Bogged down in either MT or BH -- I'd have to check the bookshelf at home.
What I might do is pick up RG for a reread before the next book comes out...

Well, IF Fist takes forever then I might revisit some of the earlier books.

Hmm, sounds like Fist is gettin' a reputation...
