Ditto! There's not much that's worse than that in my book, and somebody should have to answer for that!

Trying to spread my gratitude around and make sure that I don't miss anyone, so, thank you everybody, Jenn, Menolly, ~Lyr, Lore, Damelon, foulwife, Danlo, Balon, drew, Aliantha, you guys are great, thank you for everything. I'm feeling better today, and I'm going to try and read the manuscript that Lore sent me, (thank you Lore), the distractions are good for me. :loveyou: guys.

I have a choice of 2 activities.

1. Having some random stranger come up to me in a pub a friend and I had just walked into and sniff my hair. Then proceed to ask if he could stroke it and then his friend asked if I would give them my hair... 8O
Needless to say my reply was a heart felt NO!

2. Spending 3 hours on a train journey home with 4 teens offering entertainment:
sport-passing their mini rugby balls around the carraige
philosiphical - how society has made us believe 1+1=2 but how do we know this is actually correct
drama - love and how it can't be measured and shown
romance - 2 of said teens being attached by the lips for the majority of the journey while the other 2 watch and comment
Oh how I wish I hadn't been sitting directly behing them all!

I'm becoming too cautious with my money. I went into Brisbane city this morning and purchased John Keegan's The First World War and a gift voucher for my brother. I could have bought more stuff, but I feel guilty even thinking about spending money.

Hmm, Lore. . . this sounds like anxiety to me. But I'm sure that no matter what you spent, your brother will be pleased.

My most interesting activity today was a philosophical discussion on the nature of humor, and why we find certain things funny. My conversation partner has a very dark sense of humor, and he shared several of his favorite jokes with me. Luckily I have a dark sense of humor as well.

Well, hon, maybe you should think about talking with someone regarding that anxiety. |G

But, I hope only good things happen for the two of us then, cag. :D

Cag and (especially) Menolly - congrats on the soon to be DSL connection. As a warning, once you go broadband, you won't ever be able to go back! Ever! :)

Does this mean that we will get to see more of you both on the Watch? Or will you be distracted by all the new media-rich content that the Net will be piping into your homes?

double-post... but so far my most interesting activity was getting to watch a brief clip of my wife on one of our local news stations. She attended a peaceful rally held last night to help support our troops by pulling them out of Iraq. Her longer dialog was cut down to a sound-bite which didn't get across her whole message - but at least the newsies didn't paint her as a militant peacenik, like they did some of the others... :)

*nodding*

I've had faster connections at work when I worked. So yeah, I am definitely looking forward to it.

:spew:

Seriously, as the Watch Pimp, Vain, says, there are other forums?
DukkhaWaynhim wrote:Or will you be distracted by all the new media-rich content that the Net will be piping into your homes?
Well, I'll admit we're getting what is called DSL Lite, the slowest (and least expensive) DSL our isp offers. So, it probably won't be that much better than dial-up. But, I am hoping to finally follow those youtube links that are posted on the Watch...

Thanks for the congrats all.

<ali tries, and fails, to imagine seeing Menolly on the Watch more often 8O > (J/K, Menolly, ya know I luv ya! And congrats on your impending ISP improvement!)

Y'know, I've avoided posting in this thread because, well, I usually can't think of anything interesting that I've done. Boring life here, sorry.

I did just have a co-worker offer to loan me her van so I could drive to Indiana this summer and pick up some stuff from my mom's house. It would save me $$$ in truck rental fees. So that's pretty interesting, I guess.
