Glad you made it there ok Covjr - do you think after this fest you will have met more Watchers than anyone else now? :D
To answer this question: no, Fist still beats me. I'm working on it though.

Ok, in a little while I'm going to head out to meet Damelon and Seareach to potter down to Circuit City (Damelon wants something from there). There's some suggestion that I might be having lunch with Sea and Luci (maybe Damelon too?) but Luci is apparently hiding right now, so no details are forthcoming.

It's been really good to meet people. It's astonishing to have such diverse types of people bound together by a shared interest. dlb is a funny, funny guy; Damelon is practically a Donaldsonian giant, with his perpetual good nature and booming laugh; Bloodguard Bob has been a saint, having us at his apartment and driving us around - and I could praise everyone else just as much, but my typing fingers are getting tired.

Speaking to absentees on the phone has been great too. I've chatted to Danlo, Fist, iQuestor and the woman to whom my bone belongs (shut it, you dirty buggers!), my bride to be, Waddley. She loves that bone just as much in reality as she seems to on the Watch.
Geez, I can still hear his voice in my head! ;)

Just wanted to say what a nice time I had on Saturday evening. The food was great, and the company was better.

Knowing only Luci, and only having read a few of Donaldson's books <duck> I expected to be something of an outsider.

Not so. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming to this party crasher.

A really nice group of people. My challenge now is to catch up on SRD's books and figure out which faces belong to which Watchers.

Thanks again :!!!:

Hey Seareach! You can take your countdown out of your signature now! You're here! ;)

Web, it was good to meet you! I was the really cool guy sitting in the hot tub with the Swedish girls! Oh wait, that was a different party.....

And it's not just Waddley; Seareach likes to lick bones. She may lick every bone she comes across. She would have licked my bone if it had been on show at the time.

there's a beach area at the campground, although the water might be a little cold still...and I'm sure if there are plans to go swimming at the hotel and we're there, we'll join them. So I would bring my suit anyway...

My fingers STILL smell of bleach, but I think House Guest Week is suitably prepared for. Already have been entertaining Carla's mother and step-father, and am very eager for Friday to arrive. I'll try to get another quick cleaning and certainly a change of sheets and hide all the cutlery and stash the bodies in the crawl-space, and start setting up the harnesses and bring the double-sided rubber thumpers out of storage. I'll probably need a few more plastic bags as well, but we'll see.

Regardless, seeing all these pictures make me VERY ready to meet everyone, and I can't wait for the fun to begin.

Seriously...I can't believe my fingers still smell of bleach.

So it seems I'll be getting in Thursday night instead of Friday morning. (See all the gory details in the SRD Seafest thread.) Is anyone else still arriving Thursday? I can't remember....

I've getting there around 6pm. The camping spot is still reserved for Thursday---I didn't cancel it 8) So call me and I'll come to the site and vouch that I'm me (or somebody :screwy: )---picking up Jenn and Cjr around 8-8:30

Hey, this could work perfectly! My flight from Chicago gets in at 8:20pm. Maybe we could all meet up at the airport...

I'll call you when I get in.

We could meet at the airport and then grab something to eat and caravan to the campsite and hang out and help Ali get the tent up and get settled in and then head to the hotel. How does that sound to everyone?

That's the idea (as expounded in the T & L thread)

YAY! Crisis averted. Is there a time cap on when you can check into the campsite? We should probably check in case Danlo needs to check in before coming to get us at the airport. Just to be on the safe side.
