Appreciate the crossed talons, sind, as well as the other well-wishes.
It must have worked, since the firm representing me just called and Amazon has decided to bring me onboard.
My understanding is that it is a contract role, but the person to whom I will report also started out that way, but was made a full employee a few months ago. Meanwhile, the firm representing me (and through which I will be contracting) is the same one that handled my Microsoft engagement last year. I sign the paperwork with them this afternoon and start working on the 12th. One step at a time...

They may mask the drugs (or they may not), but, they also will mask everything else that should be in your sample, so you are likely to be deemed as having cheated. There are very good Body cleanser products at head shops for cleaning all the Toxins from your body, that work very well (And replicate what's supposed to be in your sample) if directions are followed properly
It takes about 3 months for your body to be clean of THC if you are heavy pot smoker, obviously less time if you are a lighter smoker. A joint a week will not increase your THC count (Because your body is cleaning that much a week), so, a few tokes shouldn't make any difference. Also, you don't typically need to be 100% clean for THC for most Drug tests, they typically test for above 50 count (Or maybe it's above 200?) for a standard test. "Super Sensitive" tests are typically only for special cases, such as someone in Drug Diversion on their last chance or maybe Gov't jobs or something. Super Sensitive test are very rare in general.
And, conditional Congratulations to you to SD, I've got my talons crossed for you
actually, the pee tests don't test for actual THC. they test for metabolites stored in fat cells. of which i have aplenty! LOL!!
nah i should've mentioned that janelle was incorrect about the cranberry juice.
that's only for if you have a urinary tract infection.
trying to beat a pee test in 24 hours is pert near impossible really and i wouldn't dream of trying.
i just drank a lot of water which will dilute my urine a bit, but a lot of people do the same thing. doesn't necessarily mean you're trying to beat the test.
sometimes they'll look harder at light colored urine because it's an indicator that someone was trying to beat a the test. those that are that concerned about that will take vitamin b to color their urine.
it was kinda funny. i just drank a lot of water last night and this morning, plus my morning pot of coffee. by the time i got to the clinic i hadda pee
REALLY bad.

so when i checked in i told the (somewhat jaded) clerk
that i really needed to go urgently and that i'd been paranoid i wouldn't be able to pee on cue so i might've drank a bit too much water and coffee and she was all like "yeah i know, everybody does that, we'll get you in as quick as we can." LOL!!!
so yeah i reckon they've seen it all.
as the christians say, it's in god's hands now. heh.
and i'm crossing fingers for you as well savor.

Congratulations, Savor.
Speaking as someone who has been.... what's the PC term they're throwing around? 'Underemployed'? For over three years now, I can't say I've seen any significant signs of the recession ending. More than ready for it though.

There was an unexpected uptick in last month's employment numbers, so my fingers are crossed that we're coming out of it. OTOH, a couple of my friends who work for gummint contractors here in DC have learned within the past week or two that their contracts aren't being renewed, so they may or may not be out of a job. So it goes. <sigh>
In any case -- for SD:
(Hoping to be able to post one for luci too!)

WOOOOOHOODEY!!!!! i passed the pee pee test i passed the pee pee test!
ok i realize that's a lot of hullabaloo for a part time 10.50 an hour Home Depot cashier job but hey, it's a foot in the door and i really liked what i saw of the people i'll be working with and i'll get to dress how i dress and not have to try to fit my square peg-ness into some round corporate hole.
so it's pretty much a done deal. just waiting for the background check to come back, which is clean as a whistle.
i spoke to janelle today and she said it may be another week for background checks on the group of new hires then we'll have an orientation.
YAY! halleluja.
luci breathes a
big sigh of relief.

You need to be you, for sure, but since when does your sartorial style include bright orange carpenter aprons?

I switched jobs 2 months ago.
I'm a Network Admin at a medical facility in Weymouth Mass.
We're currently looking for two Help Desk technicians.
And when I say "help desk" I mean "network/cisco/citrix/microsoft/vmware expert with low pay"
By that I mean it's an incredible opportunity since we're growing.
In a year you might have your own staff.
Our goal it to all be network admins.
Anyone with Windows/help desk experience looking for work in my area (south of Boston) let me know.
Believe it or not we're having trouble finding anyone.
I figured in this economy we'd have our choice.
I guess the IT field is only at 4% unemployment, or so I heard.

Here's cheers for not having to squash yourself into a corporate hole!!!

The 'dress how I dress' thing is
big for me too. I work in the creative industries so it's all pretty low-key but even so, I've been working at home in me undies for years and doubt, even in my industry, such would be considered appropriate office attire
Anyway, formal congratulations lucimay and good luck turning the foot in the door into a recliner by the fireplace!

Hell yeah. I once turned down a job at a big multi-national IT company because I refused to cut my hair. (When it was long.)
I don't do suits or ties or corporates. I go to work in jeans, a t-shirt and my bright blue mohawk.

Hell, the place I'm at now, I could probably finally get my face tattooed. They wouldn't care.
'Grats LuciMay. And HLT too.
