I think it would make sense if PP were known and probably gods above the first rung.

Keep it all secret. Even the PP. It's one thing to know that somebody or other is very popular. It's another to know exactly how popular. I don't know why we would know such specific info.

I'm for all public. But then, I pretty much always have been.

In answer to Fist, I assume once someone is a prophet it is seen/felt by others, unless power is used to hide it. Specific deities/spirits/ancestors may not be apparent but that may come out in play or otherwise anyway.

Knowing popularity points may help with each other asking for help in certain tasks, and understanding if it has to be deferred or relegated to another time.

Of course, you could declare that other prophets of the gods can sense you. Like Highlander... just be sitting at home on the couch, and then get a tingle. "Uh-oh. Someone's here to dual me for my head! Quickly, hand me my trenchcoat and my sword."

But even then, the people at large wouldn't know for sure, unless you told them. Even the highest gods don't have a way of communicating detailed stuff to the people, except by getting a prophet and telling him to pass the message on.

You don't deserve to call yourself an immortal until you can pull your sword out of the sleeve of your polo.

Only the dinosaurs carried around actual chopping blades... swords and axes and whatnot.

Shotgun to the face should do the trick. Maybe some dragon's breath rounds. The authorities won't even look twice at you, if you're walking around with just a regular old shotgun. Right?

Uhm, not so sure that is the case in Twinsriver.
in Laurel's latest results The AllMother wrote:Lost in your thoughts, you do not notice how everyone’s eyes follow you as you pass. Those few merchants folding up their stalls in the marketplace stop their work to look at you. Perhaps they sense something you have not. The neighbor waving to you as she sweeps her stoop halts mid wave, greeting unspoken. You pass, not noticing.

You enter your cottage and your mother is sitting by the fire, needlepoint in hand. She looks up as you enter and stops, a puzzled look on her face. You smile at her, your heart filling with love at the sight of her. She smiles broadly back, seeing the change but not understanding it.

She stands and comes to you. You both embrace each other, laughing from the pits of your bellies. Tears of joy stream from your eyes and you are completely filled.

The turquoise stone is throbbing on your chest and a light shines from it’s center. But, it is only mimicking the light that shines from you.
So apparently at least being touched by a deific hand is discernable by all, yes?

You weren't wearing a bra. Of course you got some looks and attention.

Now, now.
Just because you have discerned my preferred style of dress...

Might it be because you were skipping, and singing the Smurf's theme, "La LA la la laaaaa, la la la lala!"

For some reason now, I'm thinking of Dr. Rockso tiptoeing around then shouting at people, "I DO COCAINE!", only Laurel would be shouting "I'm not wearing a bra!"

Only later would people realize that the bra hasn't even been invented yet.

Honestly, I think that what happens in my mind loses a lot in the retelling. 'Cause this shit's hilarious to me, but it looks boring when I write it out.

I went ahead and added the popularity points under your avatars in the world events thread. Up until now, you've all been pretty even but a few of you are pulling ahead of the crowd.

Cool!
Thank you.

Will Divine points and which ancestor/spirit/deity has chosen one remain unpublicized then?

I think most people know who wants which god/ancestor, etc. You are really the only one who didn't pick one. I can make yours public, if you so desire or you can make it public yourself, when the time is right.

I can post it and post prophet status, if you choose.

Again, I like all stats public, but if that is different from the majority, I'm good with that, also. I have reread the registration thread, and I guess I am not good at deriving what others are striving for. It seems as if most are going for ancestral spirits? And if that is the case, what the ancestor helps with or is capable of is determined throughout the game?
