:haha: :haha:

And she did. Thanks Jenn. You coulda at least left out the ones I listed. And I did say either didn't know or disagreed. But I appreciate it. :D

Damn, you must have the whole cast besides palace guards and the Monomach's Apts there.

Since you force me:

Terisa: Famke Janssen - Nope...not wishy-washy enough
Geraden: James Franco - Could be a bit more boyish
Reverend Thatcher: Robert Duvall - Good choice like I said.
Eremis: Geoffrey Rush - No way - too dopey looking. Eremis was sharp. Pointy.
Barsonage: David Thewliss - Where's his eyebrows?
King Joyse: Sean Connery - Good as I said. :D
Havelock: Anthony Hopkins - If he lost 15kg and grew his hair...sorta like in that escape movie...oh...the Rock. How ironic.
Gilbur: Brendan Gleason - Looks a bit jolly...Gilbur was dour and glowering.
Quillon: Ian Holm - Yes, definitely
The Tor: John Goodman - Hmmm...maybe (I knew who he was btw ;) )
The Domne: Patrick Stewart - Good choice like I said. ;)
The Termigan: Michael Gambon - No opinion (Fine iow, not enough impact to make me disagree)
The Perdon: Bernard Hill - No opinion
The Armigite: Paul Reubens - Yeah, good
The Fayle: Christopher Lee - Like the actor, but no opinion on role
Prince Kragen: Arnold Vosloo - No way. Needs to be more Arab looking...
Myste: Drew Barrymore - Could work
Elega: Kate Hudson - Could work
Torrent: Natalie Portman - Could work
Queen Madin: Susan Sarandon or Sharon Stone - Not regal enough
Artagel: Viggo Mortenson - Bit typecast for it? (only looked good in LotR anyway.)
Vagel: Ave Vigoda - No way...too jolly uncle like...need a "ming the merciless" kinda guy.
Gart: Ray Park - What? Uh-uh. Unless he wears a ninja mask and you can't see his face.
Darsint: The Rock aka Duane Johnson - Good choice
Saddith: Rose McGowan - Fine
Castellan Lebbick: - Tommy Lee Jones Good choice
Argus: Cary Elwes - Too clean cut.
Ribuld: David Wenham - Same...they were grizzled.
Stead: Hugh Jackman - Fine
Alend Monarch: Brian Cox - If he lost weight
Nyle: Colin Ferrell - No opinion
Minnick: Orlando Bloom - No opinion
Tholden: Sean Bean - Could be good with a beard
Quiss: Charlize Theron - Nah...(Tholden's wife right?) Not very solid dependable farm-wife-like.

(Haha, 2 South African's in that lineup. (Both of which I said no about.)

Jenn; first of all, I think you did a great job.

A couple of my own suggestions...

For King Joyce, rather than using the old standby of Sean Connery for a King, why not the ultimate inactive/active king?

Image

Also for Erimis, this is who I got the impression of, being such a player with the honey's;

You know...without the gun obviously.

Well once I got started I liked having the pic right there by my choice so I just did em all. I think Famke Janssen could play wishywashy turned strong. I think she has the range.

Drew, I don't like Tom Cruise and I think he's creepy in the wrong way. What about Ralph Fiennes for Eremis?

He's creepy in the RIGHT way.
SOME women ( but not all) drool over his looks ( like Eremis)
He's played cocky and arrogant quite well.

Huh? There's a right or wrong way to be creepy? I thought creepy meant just that: CREEPY.

But I do thank you for explaining yourself, drew.

Some of those I could go for. Banderas for Kragen, for example. Others, not so much...Neeson for Tholden, Crowe for Joyce, I don't think so. :D

Viggo Mortenson as Lebbick (I think he's ripe for the role)
Clive Owen as Kragen (you want dark, edgy and brooding? I do.)
Eremis -- ?

I'm picky. I think the suave, controlled Alan Rickman of Die Hard combined with David Thewlis' looks is perfect. I thought a suitably flip question was, did Eremis lose his mind because he simply saw himself in a mirror, or was it the extreme disappointment of finding out he wasn't pretty?

Okay, he seems to be in a lot of movies lately (Kick Ass, John Carter, Green Lantern, etc.) and it struck me.

Mark Strong: Master Eremis.

That's just because of your time zone. It's actually Jan 1st, 1970, at exactly midnight. (:P It's an old bug, lot of older posts got hit with it somehow and all got dated 1970... kind of like what the Y2K bug would have done - it's the "zero" date/time on a lot of computer clocks.)

What he said. ^

And back on topic, actually, I could see that guy as Eremis.

I've never heard of Cary Elwes but looked him up on Google as the name is familiar. Sure enough, he is descended from the Lincolnshire Elwes family! He'll do.
