Episode 6 was good but not great.. at least to me. But there are exceptions in every series....
I just thought it seemed a bit too coincidental that Discovery shows up, just in time to save a race/planet from extinction and get the clue they needed from a tower that was put in place centuries earlier.

Yeah, it was ok. Gotta expect a slow build to the grand prize.

Coming down to it! I think two more episodes. Yesterday's best parts were thanks to Moll. That's an interesting turn of events.
The rest was yeah, yeah, let's just get to it! But they have to build the anticipation.

Well then. That's that. Another series over. All in all, I very much enjoyed discovery.
I must say I found the ending anticlimactic. However, I really can't say what would've been better. How do you end that kind of thing? It is a good answer.
As for the ending ending…
What the hell is that?? There better be some kind of follow up. What could they be aware of, that they know is going to be in a certain place at a certain time, and Zora must be present for it, that can't get there now, or they can't wait until the appointed time to get Zora to the place. Just seemed a silly way to have a dramatic goodbye. Give me a break.
But what could it be? V'ger? The enterprises emergent intelligence from TNG? The mechanical intelligence is that almost made it through the wormhole in Picard? Something to do with the Sphere that brought about Zora? The possibilities are endless. But I have to assume it's something we are familiar with.

I loved that last episode and will miss Discovery. I know many never liked it but I enjoyed each and every episode.
Dr Kovich reveals that he is actually Agent Daniels... from Enterprise. Behind him you see things from the past. A bottle of Chateau Picard, Geordi's visor from STNG, and the baseball from Capt Sisko from Deep Space Nine.

Yes, glad we found out what his story is.
The Sphere is one of my favorite aspects of Discovery. Just watched that episode again.

I haven’t seen the last few seasons of
Discovery, due to us not having access to Paramount+. However, I love spoilers and have not only been following this thread but also reading online articles regarding the show.
That said…
Apparently there were some Star Trek shorts on CBS All Access before the switch to Paramount+. The sources I’ve read says the coda of
Discovery’s finale ties into one of the shorts called
Calypso.

I just edited this. I originally expressed my doubts. Then I read your link more carefully, and watched it again. Seems right. But why???? What's the big deal about Craft???

Again, I don’t have access to Paramount+, so I also haven’t seen the
Star Trek: Shorts. Have you watched
Calypso? Perhaps the importance of setting that up to happen in the finale is apparent there.

Yep, spot on Menolly! I knew that this was what it was about., They had to set that up or this timeline never happens the way it did. Its quite a paradox.

It really seems lame to me, actually. I hope they continue the story, and have a good explanation for the thousand year wait, and the importance.

An article from Variety claims the ending coda was added after the season had wrapped. Apparently, filming had ended before the producers and actors were told it was the final season. The executive producer was planning on devoting the arching season 6 storyline to setting up Calypso, and now only had three minutes to do so.
