Re: What the Bloodguard keep under their robes. NOTHING. They fight without weapons remember? In the battle of Soaring Woodhelven they were pretty good with their fists, but none of them ever drew a sword...

Also if I was a girl I'd probably go for TC. Why? 1) he's the "hero" 2) he's got the wild magic and 3) he seems to stay young and virile (for a leper) while everyone else in the land grows old.

Nah, he's more the "hidden depths" type. Unfortunately for you girls that like sensitive, caring, sharing types, our TC is almost totally expedient and self-serving. IMO he loves himself more than he cares about anyone else.

quite possibly but a man who is only self-serving doesnt generally sacrifice himself for a woman who dumped him years earlier ..

nor take her in and care for her in her mentally distressing state

nor sacrifice himself for a Land and people he has just met

I think TC was clearly able to care about others .. and too often felt responsibility for others safety - but just wasnt a pro at expressing it

not an unfamiliar theme i'd wager

Well, Durris, if we can picture the Bloodguard as we have posted on the movie threads - as asian - then, I would totally be for Chow Yun Fat (sp?) or Ken Wantanabe!

Asian, granted; SRD's descriptions sound more Tibetan than Chinese or Japanese to me. Or maybe I'm being influenced by geography; the Westron Mountains resemble the Himalayas ("tigers roam these low heights").
