How did an election thread turn into religious thread?! I keep seperate my religious wanderings and political actions (though they are intrinsically linked by my own sense of right and wrong I suppose)...let's get back to the issue people!
For the good of our standing among allies, for the good of the long term economy, adn just because I say so...George Bush must go!
Let the fighting begin anew!!!

I'm still wondering why this hasn't been moved to the think tank.

Probably my fault :)
I'm interested in hearing from those who don't like Kerry, and why. Personally, I just think he's too boring. The message I get from Bush's campaign ads is "he's too liberal" and "he's a flip-flopper". The former does nothing for me, hell I don't think he's liberal enough. But I also don't consider that word to be a pejorative (or "conservative" either). The "flip-flopper" thing pisses me off though. So what if he changed his mind on the war appropriations bill? I don't remember exactly what the circumstance was, but bills change, riders get tacked on, and legislators change their votes. Bush's ads just play on people's ignorance of the legislative process, and that infuriates me. I'd rather have a president that actually can change his mind to one that never does, and then never admits any mistakes.

True, my friend. it all goes back to the fact that Bush sees the world, as do most zealots of any religious persuation, in Black and White. Where his supporters and apologists see this as moral clarity, I tend to see it as a cheap excuse to justify a lack of intellectual curiosity. Sure is convenient.
I'm sure that much damage was done to science in the the dark ages in the name of moral clarity.
