Ahhh, I'm being selfish, but I hate driving to the city.

Once I get off the plane at Dulles, I'm just along for the ride. A trip to Annapolis that Friday night sounds fine to me.

I go there every other week or so to either have lunch or watch soccer matches. I've had everything on the menu and I've yet to have a bad meal. The nice thing about it is that it's an actual small pub, so the kids tend not to come in too often on the weekend nights.

But if you're into that sort of thing, there's a ton of great bars and clubs in Annapolis, not to mention some outstanding food. There's a Mexican restaurant that has the best Mexican food I've had outside of SoCal.

Annapolis is a haul from where it sounds like everyone is staying, so I'm certainly not going to ask if everyone else can drive to me rather than me driving to where everyone's going to be.

But if any of y'all are ever in the area again, definately check it out.

From the Virginia side of DC it'd take a good hour and a half, traffic depending. Worse on Friday with the beach traffic.

Yup, that's a long haul.

Traffic here is UGLY!!

But I bet Lucimay can talk me into just about anything!! We'll see!!

Traffic around DC is heinous, and Rt.50 (the road to Annapolis) starts backing up at about 11am on Fridays.

Not to mention that Rt.66 is on exactly the opposite side of the DC beltway from 50, and 66 is no cakewalk either.

Umm.... what about Mr. Henry's in the city? Or, Clarendon Grill? Both are good, the grill has free public parking nearby, and Mr. Henry's is close enough to a metro stop.

And Lucimay, you know if yo need a place to stay I can hook you up with a fantastic blow-up mattress. And if we do have to travel far, I say we make Creator do it.... his car is better on mileage anyway.

Lucky folk. Mr Lore is so far removed from other watchers. Most of the Australians are clustered down south.

That's a long, long flight.

I know very little about the DC nightlife, as I rarely venture down there. Gimme a when and a where, and I'll make the trek though.

Depending on where everyone is, there's also Old-Town Alexandria (which is a haul for me). There's some nice places there.

Well the Clarendon grill does have some nights with live music..... not sure the schedule of events goes out that far though. www.cgrill.com/
