Hmm, I may have made fun of the board too soon Vain.

At work today they switched me over from the ADSL to the ISDN connection, and it seems that I haven't logged out since. I know the ADSL runs through its own firewall machine, so maybe that, and the upgrade together, didn't agree with each other.

(I include the upgrade because it did work before.) Anyway, I'll see how this pans out, but I've been logged in for several hours now, a new record since the issues started.

NEVER make fun of the board Av :) If the latest mod is a pain then I'll zap it - I think it needs a "Mark all posts as read" option myself

:LOLS: I won't. ;)

Anyway, the latest mod is not a pain...it's very very handy...what if I start getting logged out again? Not to mention when one accidentally closes a browser window...

(The usual old "Mark all topics read" button seems to work just fine for me, BTW. It still clears the little orange flags.)

I might have to insist they leave me on the old slow ISDN though...at least then I can chat as well. ;)

I just noticed we have that option but I'd like to see it for the whole board - not just a forum by forum basis

I have no clue what to do about the orange flags to be honest

The one for the whole board is down near the bottom of the index, on the left, just above the "Who's Online" feature.

The orange flags, (I repeat) are a good thing. I need them to be able to tell at a glance who has posted where. :D

Anybody who doesn't like them just has to click the "Mark all topics read" in any forum, or the "Mark all forums read" for the whole forum. ;)

I got this error message just now when trying to log in:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@kevinswatch.ihugny.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Not sure if this is significant.

Not really something to worry about Dlb. Happens to me a few times when posting or changing pages. It's an issue on the host server I'm pretty sure, and they fix them pretty quick. Usually just refresh once or twice and it's sorted.

Oh, that's been appearing everywhere. That has been happening to me whether I've been logged in or not: Murrin provides an explantion in the hackers thread. :)

I will look into the server error logs but I believe it's a server glitch and nothing more. I have never encountered the error but then again, I sniff paint fumes for a living ;)

OK. From the server error logs I'm picking up a memory issue - I'll ask the hosts about it.

I got the same erro as sgtnull but cleared in by marking all forums read
