I think that my heart stopped beating for just a few seconds.
I hate you, dAN.

As long as they keep throwing America's Next Top Model out there I will be happy. I'm also waiting for Flavor of Love 3....

There was this Aaron Sorkin show prior to The West Wing called Sports Night. It died because Sorkin went to work on TWW. I was only just introduced to it, and now I wish I'd watched it when it first aired, and that it hadn't been cancelled. It was like Sorkin's warm-up for his main act.

Only just having seen episodes of "Firefly" for the first time, it makes me wonder at the network bosses' IQ level. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING CANCELLING SUCH A GEM???????
High school dropouts, I bet. They didn't understand the concepts, the polysyllabic dialogue, the SUBTLE sarcastic humor. Because there are no pratfalls, inane dialogue, criminal investigation or tits & bums, they're not interested...

I'd completely forgotten about this until yesterday:
Ultraviolet
It was a British series, it only ran for six episodes, and was never heard of again. It was a few years ago, about 1998 I think, but I remember being impressed. It was essentially about vampires, though the word vampire was never used, and vampirism was caused by a disease rather than anything more occult.
It was great.

Adventures of Brisco County Jr., and Due South. Don't know how I missed mentioning them earlier. They were both goofy (especially Brisco County Jr) but creative enough to make up for the cheesiness, and off the wall enough to keep me interested.
Also, The Sentinel. I don't know if it was one of those shows that got cancelled with enough notice to have a final episode written, or if they really just meant to do three seasons.
I'd say Stargate SG1, too, but all good things must end, especially when they're
not so good by the end. Mostly I'm bitter it'll be ending because they're gonna dump a bunch of the actors onto the SGA payroll, which I think they're doing partly 'cause they know their writing for that show sucks and they want to wave shiny things at us as compensation.

Brisco was great - I have the DVDs. Bruce Campbell is a true Real Man hero. Gotta love a man who attached a chainsaw to the stump of his severed hand. Ooh, rah!
I was always bummed that they cancelled Space: Above and Beyond. The last episode of that seemed to close out the story (that tends to happen when 90% of the main characters die). But my guess is they threw that in to make it seem like it was over when they found out it wasn't going to make it another season.

American Gothic. Gary Cole was great as the Devil/Sheriff.
Arrested Development. Great comedy. Fox sucks!!

Man I loved American Gothic. And the Sheriff was the best character.

No problem. Now I just need to decide if I'm going to buy the DVD...
