8O OOO if I were a Browns fant...that would have hurt immensely!

A wee prediction for you guys. I can't recall who has him, but whomever has Lawrence Mulroney (RB: Pats) I think is in for a good year.

He got picked up off the waiver wire last week....what do you think about the rookie RB for Atlanta?

Norwood's value has definately gone up and he looked good in their last game (just: 9-104, 1 TD)
--J. Walker looked very good: 3 for 45, took some hits. What do you think of Anderson's chances with the Ravens? Wrong blocking scheme (v. Denver's cut and chop :P ) too much Jamal?--too much time trying to protect McNair??

The Florida Times-Union reports Jags RB Greg Jones will be sidelined for the season with a torn ACL for the second time in the last five years. He suffered the injury Saturday night against Tampa Bay, and the Jaguars first reported it was a sprained MCL and he might be back for the season opener. But an MRI revealed it was actually a torn ACL on his left knee that will require surgery. He suffered a similar injury on his right knee in his junior year at Florida State on his right knee so when he returns next year he'll be playing with two reconstructed knees. With Jones out, RB Derrick Wimbush will likely become the fullback with RB Fred Taylor remaining their lead runner. Jones had been expected to share time with Taylor this year.

... the Philadelphia Eagles acquired wide receiver Donte Stallworth from the New Orleans Saints on Monday.

The Eagles sent veteran linebacker Mark Simoneau and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2007 to the Saints. The trade is pending both players passing physicals with their new team.

Stallworth, the 13th overall pick in the 2002 draft, had 70 receptions for 945 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
Good news for both camps the Saints will really benefit from Simoneau's experience. Eagles fan will have two new choices along with Brown: Stallworth and Baskett.

I dropped Greg Jones just as soon as I got home from work today. What are the odds that a Jacksonville RB is out for the season and it's NOT Fred Taylor??? Just my luck...

As for the Stallworth trade, it really makes a lot of sense for the Saints. This is Stallworth's last year of his contract w/the Saints, and it was very likely that he was not going to be resigned at the end of the year.

So we pick up an experienced starting linebacker (which we sorely need), and also a conditional 4th round pick, all for a player who most likely was not going to be with the team next year.

Raiders sign Jeff (crybaby) George !!!!!!!!!!! Admitting that they really don't have ANY QBs-- Moss and Porter owners: start worrying. Titans sign Kerry Collins? Poor Billy Volek just don't get no respect.

Does Volek deserve any respect? I don't pay attention to him, but what little I've seen doesn't inspire confidence. BTW, sports radio down here says TO's gonna get cut this week!

What do y'all think about the big three this year? Alexander/Tomlinson/Johnson. I think with a possible Super Bowl run letdown, Hutchinson gone and Stevens out till October Alexander drops from #1 to #3. I think Johnson leads the way. (for WR, if Leftwich improves, I still think may have made a steal with Wilford) I made a good and, probably a bad move lately: got rid of Brown and picked up Wilkins--like Parcells says-kickers are a dime a dozen (however, Rackers almost single-handedly won me 3 games last year) -so that's a slight upgrade. I dropped Rhodes and took Anderson--I'm an idiot, unless Jamaal goes down...stinky offensive live too :(

I agree with you. LJ, LT, the Shaun Alexander....after those guys it drops off a touch. I'd have kept Rhodes.

I think with a new coach and the fact he's no longer a surprise to anyone that LJ will drop to #4 or 5, while LT will struggle with the new QB, but still be #2. I expect the Miami RB to be really good this year, and am hoping Cadillac will also be. So take that, you bloody prognosticators!

:x Alright now I'm pissed!!!! Mark week 6 on your calendars!!! When you watch me stuff my archenemy Brinn deep down that weird unfinished underground roadway in Boston!!! Damm I wish we played two times in the regular season so I could destroy him twice. Of all people to capitalize on my idiotic mistake it had to be Brinn. Like two years ago when he snatched LJ away from my grasp at the last second to advance to the Championship.

Well thank gods my mistake came before the regular season--and now I really hope Addai goes crazy like Williams and Brown last year and regulates Rhodes to the bench. I never wish anyone to get hurt but if Tiki stumbles before week 6 it would be fitting for Jacobs to crush Brinn singlehandedly. Oh well with the way my team's set up someone has to go to replace the kicker and the D--I guess that was Rhodes--but it was still an idiotic mistake on my part.

That's one of the problems when you're so into FF: you can get so nervous and excited that you can outthink yourself. :x Fie on Brinn anyway!!! It had to be Brinn  --of all the other 8 in the league--the bastard just hides in the wings like a snake-waiting for any mistake. :P

I don't know what the hell you're talking about, but I'm glad to see this announcement, because it means you're already in midseason form!

I dropped Dominick Rhodes (who has just as good a chance as Addai to become Indy's starter-they have a much better O-Line but both backs have not produced anything in the preseason) and picked up worthless M. Anderson (with his great Denver #s)--then I found out that Baltmore's O line has huge gaps in it and is only designed, barely, for Jamaal Lewis. Anderson's not going anywhere. I stayed up till 1am last night trying to get Rhodes back but Brinn had already beaten me to him... :faint:

Whether Rhodes does anything or not I still hear that damm Brinn laughing maniacally in the background :P

sorry I confused you about B. Jacobs--he's had a hell of a preseason but he's not going anywhere except as a short yardage specialist behind Tiki on the Giants--I just dropped Anderson and picked up Jacobs. But like I said above he's basically the designated dropped player for when Pittsburg and Wilkins have a bye week.
