I generally watch the special features on all of my newly purchased dvds and blurays. I am fascinated by behind the scenes and film production stories. But the only one I tend to skip over is the bloopers. I watch them occasionally but depending upon the production they can be tiresome to me. On the other hand there are some that are priceless.
Painstakingly capture and release a spider back to the outdoors or kill a spider?

by Sorus
I'm allergic to spider bites, even from non-venomous spiders. Not a matter of life or death, but serious enough that I will squish any spiders that look bitey. Non-bitey spiders - daddy longlegs and whatnot, I will generally leave alone. They aren't bothering me if they're on the ceiling, and if they're not on the ceiling they will end up being harassed and eventually eaten by one of my cats.
Neighbors with a baby that cries all night, or neighbors with a dog that barks all night?

In neither case are there many options for those in charge however I suppose I would go with the dog as it at least might be a less piercing noise than that of the infant.
A million coveted candy bars or a million bags of equally coveted chips?
Posted: Sat Aug 12, 2017 6:28 pm
by Sorus
A million coveted candy bars, mainly because they'd take up less space and probably have a longer shelf life than chips. Still don't know where I'd store them.
Awesome super-fast internet access that's only available 12 hours out of every 24 (and not the most ideal 12), or slow internet access that's available around the clock?
Posted: Sat Aug 12, 2017 6:52 pm
by aTOMiC
Super fast internet only part of the day. I would just arrange my day around it.
Feeling alone and uncomfortable at a huge party with hundreds of guests that you don't know or sitting in a room with one person you don't know?
Posted: Sat Aug 12, 2017 7:05 pm
by Sorus
Probably sitting in a room with one person I don't know. It would depend somewhat on context - waiting for an appointment or something where I could read a book or otherwise ignore them versus a situation where avoiding interaction would be seen as rude - though it would still depend on the person and why we're there. Huge parties have never been my idea of fun, whether or not I know anyone present.
Your very own private yacht or helicopter?

by aTOMiC
Yes.
Crap. If I have to choose I will go with yacht. Seems more likely that I would use it frequently.
Stranded on a deserted island with 6 other hilarious people or a member of a moon base that is blasted into unknown space?
Posted: Sat Aug 12, 2017 10:28 pm
by Sorus
It would depend on the size of the island and the level of technology on the moon base. Probably the island. I really like the idea of being an astronaut, but I don't think I would enjoy it at the current level of technology.
Time travel: Past or Future?

Definitely the past. The future may be really depressing.
Who would you rather star as Thomas Covenant in a film or television series Buddy Hackett or Earnest Borgnine?
Posted: Sat Aug 12, 2017 11:43 pm
by Sorus
Wow. I'm going to say Ernest Borgnine just because I am more familiar with his work. And because Borgnine is an awesome name. He was a good actor, but I can't really say that I picture him as Covenant.
Be a world-famous artist, or a world-famous author?

I would love to be a world famous artist which would mean there would be a Glurp on every lunchbox, mousepad, bumpersticker and billboard on Earth.
Lyrics or melody?

That is not an easy choice. I do tend to gravitate towards lyrics though.
Guitar solo or drum solo?
Posted: Wed Aug 16, 2017 11:46 am
by aTOMiC
I tend to be more entertained by a drum solo. Both can be artfully tasteful or self serving show-boat-a-rama but the drum solo usually comes off to me as a pleasant surprise.
Which off-world colony would you prefer to live on, Martian or Lunar?
Posted: Wed Aug 16, 2017 10:00 pm
by Linna Heartbooger
Martian, because I think there would be more variety because it's larger.
though the moon's gravity would be fun.
Hmmm. I'm not good at choosing choices to subject people to...
...
Amazon rain forest, or Great Barrier Reef?
Posted: Thu Aug 17, 2017 11:56 am
by aTOMiC
I'm probably not going to survive very long in either environment but at least the rain forest doesn't include drowning after having my legs chewed off my great white sharks.
cake or ice cream?
Posted: Thu Aug 17, 2017 9:45 pm
by Sorus
Cake. I like ice cream, but generally avoid it because my teeth are super-sensitive to cold. Though actually after my last round of dental torture, ice cream doesn't bother me as much. Could be nerve damage, could be my pain threshold has been raised that much higher - but hey, being able to eat ice cream again is a silver lining.
Light & fluffy ice cream (Dreyers and such), or rich and heavy ice cream (Ben & Jerrys and whatnot)?
Posted: Thu Aug 17, 2017 10:17 pm
by aTOMiC
I litterally have no preference but since I have to pick I choose light and fluffy.
What weapon has the cooler sound effect, phasers or photon torpedoes?
Posted: Sat Aug 19, 2017 3:24 am
by Sorus
That's a hard choice. I've always been a little skeptical about whether things in space actually go ZAP or PEW PEW (or WHOOSH), but there's something a little more ominous about the photon torpedo sound effect, so I'll go with that.
Cliffhanger season finale, or season finale that ties up the season?
Posted: Sat Aug 19, 2017 7:13 pm
by Cord Hurn
Season finale that ties up the season. I'm not a big fan of being kept in suspense.
Blueberry or strawberry cheesecake? (I love both, so it's an impossible choice for me.)

I'd have to go with Strawberry. (love cheesecake too)
Which can you do without more easily your smartphone or your left pinky toe?
