Heh. You may lack grace, but at least you're an interesting conversationalist. :)

And I if Denver is going to be gassy, I'm glad I'm missing that part. :P

Regarding dreams, I dreamed I was on a boat along with several other Watchers (most from Seafest). We rescued a lot of people from flooded areas so quarters were very cramped on the boat. After a while Covjr disappeared for a few minutes, and came back holding a pair of scissors. Then told us he decided to cut his hair short (and he did while we watched). After that we docked at the front of a large building which turned out to be an orphanage (the entire area was flooded, so we docked at the front porch). I had to go in and talk with the psychologist about our taking in our boatful of people. The psychologist for the orphanage was Loremaster.

The End.

From my journal this morning:
kayaking. Going over falls. end up in open pool inside caves. crawl under/over walls, find blue agates. End up in caves on beach. Giant walking women statues. Esape down to McLane Rd.
This dream started off like many of my other dreams. The dream Me wakes up in whatever situation he's in, and immediately has to react. Most of the time, the dream Me remembers whatever dream-information he has. Names of the other dream members, for instance, or the point of whatever is happening.

In this particular dream, He woke up in a canoe (even though I wrote kayak) with a dream-Claire behind him, paddling in the second seat. The canoe is a brown fiberglass, stained to look like wood. The seat are covered in green synthetic material, and there are two backpacks in between the seats.

We're sitting in the water in a rock ledge, angled towards the wall in a way to make a fairly deep pool. The water runs off the edge of the pool, and falls down to a river head. I realize that the dream is dark, but dream-lighted in a very greytones way.

I am underground in some sort of cave system. Claire tells me to "get a move on", and we being to paddle towards the edge of the pool. I maneuver the canoe to sit parallel to the edge of the pool. We both grab the edges of the fiberglass raft we're in, and hop it over the edge.

We drop at least twenty feet to the riverhead below. Our bodies submerge with the canoe as we maintain our grips on the edges. We surface facing downriver, and already rapidly gaining speed. The ride down the pitchdark river is exhilarating, and short. It is only moments before we break into a large lagoon within a giant cave.

It must be on the beach, judging from the ball sized sunlight in the distance. The ceiling extends for what must be hundreds of feet above us, and the lagoon is edged by a small wall, obviously man made, and about three feet above the edge of the water. The place is filled with silence, punctuated by the dripping noises that only wet caves can manage.

We bring the canoe to the edge of the lagoon, and climb onto shore. Before us looms a massive hill of sand. Stretching to the sides as far as the darkness allows us to see, and rising more that fifty feet above us, the sand sparkles with shades of dark grey and black.

As we crest the hill, and begin to slide down the opposite side, a glitter of a different color catches my eye. I stop my descent and dig in the sand for a moment. I feel a solid lump in the sand, and pull it to my eyes. As it breaks the sand, a blue glow, like a glowstick, shines forth. In my hand I hold a blue agate. Around me I see two or three others, and put them in my pockets.

We reach the bottom of the hill, and begin to walk towards the head of the cave. A short distance in dark, giant, shapes in the distance begin to come into detail. They move in lumbering, jerky motions, and are at least twice the height of a man. The light improves, and more detail is revealed. They are walking clay statues of women. The actual detail is fairly horrible. It's as if a small shield were given a tub of clay, and told to make Terracotta Warrior's of Barbie.

They turn their massive heads, spot us, and let out a low dreadful tone. Low in note, it vibrates in your head, like three hours of the worst monotone professor you EVER had in college.

We cover our ears and break for the mouth of the cave.

We break into daylight and, once our eyes adjust to the light, we see the forests of McLane in front of us. We run off, and escape into McLane.

You're not meant to agree with me!

:? I quite often have dreams about cutting my hair (and regretting it) but this is the first time someone else has dreamed about it. Maybe you should find some more interesting shampoo bottles so you'll dream about those. :P

Yesterday I had an unfortunate encounter with some unsavory teenage characters, the incident itself didnt take up much of my time, but I spent the rest of the day wondering if I was that much of an a-hole when I was coming up, then last night I had a dream about a submerged schoolbus.

Maybe if you ate some sausages your mood would improve and you'd stop mocking me. ;)

Last night I had a pretty vivd dream - sort of centered around the potty training for our new puppy.

I dreamed that, in the middle of the night, there was a huge noise outside. When I looked outside to the yard (which was actually our yard - though the fence was a different color...) there were two huge holes torn in the fence, and several very large, aggressive, rabid appearing dogs running through our yard. Then my wife insisted that it was time to take the puppy out to toilet her, ignoring my protestations that the large dogs were out there, and didn't look happy. She ignored me. I then suggested that we call the police. Again ignored. She then took the puppy outside, and I woke up.

Odd dream - I'd probably attribute it too lack of sleep and focusing so much on the potty training while I was awake.

Last night I had a weird, KW-related dream. I dreamt that I went to met several Watchers somewhere, mostly guys but a few gals were there too. I was driving somewhere to do something, and Aliantha was in the seat next to me helping with the radio (even in real life I can't drive and control the car radio at the same time--too many buttons to figure out). It was weird because she was sitting to the left of me instead of to the right, and I don't remember actually going anywhere before getting out of the car. Then I was part of a group photo sans Watchers, and I had a discussion with several of the male Watchers about how to prove I was one of the people in the photograph. Then I accidentally did something that probably caused injury to a non-Watcher, and we talked about that for quite a while (when I'm upset, I need to talk to several people for a long time before I can feel better). The only person I remember knowing by name in the dream was Aliantha, which is realistic because I'm terrible with matching names to faces.

Perhaps you were with ali, Jenn, Cj, and danlo in spirit, as they all were together in Denver at that point.

Perhaps, but I think it's more likely that my subconscious mind was jealous that so many other Watchers get to meet each other, and was trying to console itself by making a mini-gathering in my mind.

LOL!
I have been a member for years, and still have not met anyone from the Watch.....the opportunities are there....you just need to take advantage if you can.

Hellfire....a few years back, peeps were in my neck of the woods...but I still didn't meet anyone.

(And now I wonder why I am posting this???)

I had a long and complicated dream last night, but forgot almost all of it the moment I woke up. The only part I remember dealt with a striking older lady, a handsome younger man, and me. It had something to do with oils. . . there were a lot of fragrant oils, and I knew that each one had different powers. The part I remember involved me putting "dragonsblood oil" on the young man's hands and rubbing it in. I was wearing what seemed to be some kind of animal skin gloves that appeared to be impervious to the oil.

If I remembered more of the story I'd write about it. :(

That sounds like an annoying dream.

Considering mosquitos avoid me like the plague and I don't smoke, it was an odd choice of subject matter.

you've been spending too much time around Jenn and the rest of the smokers!

That's the most likely cause of the smoking dream, yes. Very few of my friends at home smoke.

Are there mosquitos in SF? I didn't experience any in Denver. Woo-hoo!!

Huh?

I had four powerful vignettes last night, one in which I was competing for a job with the plumber (a sot we had to let go) who worked on our bathroom remodel and another where my dad died. Needless to say I didn't really like the latter...
