well I just got my new cell phone, a sony erricson phone/video/camera/MPS player/kitchen sink...
Just dumped 87 King Crimson songs on to it (it apparently holds about 200)... having a blast on the way to work now...

I'm going to see over the next week if I can get the album released recently by The Butterfly Effect.

They're from Brisbane and they can do Hard Rock.

Recently, Alright, Still by Lily Allen - sort of grimy-pop, and Destroy Rock 'N Roll by Mylo. Synth heavy, and lot's of 80's samples = damn, yes.
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Can you tell me, tell me, friend, just exactly where Ive been?
Is that so much to ask? Ill pay you back no matter what the task.
You seem really sure bout something I dont know,
Take that load off, looks like chests about to go.
Your wasted words already been heard, are you really god, yes or no?

Well, all day and half the night youre walkin round lookin such a fright.
Is it me or is it you? Id make a wager and Id hope to lose.
Times gone, looks like rome is bout to fall,
Next time take the elevator, please dont crawl.
Your wasted words so absurd, are you really satan, yes or no?

Well, I aint no saint and you sure as hell aint no savior,
Every other christmas I would practice good behavior.
That was then, this is now, dont ask me to be mister clean,
cause baby, I dont know how.
Ring my phone bout ten more times, we will see,
Find that broke down line and let it be.
Your wasted words wiill never be heard, go on home baby and watch it on tv.

Weekday soap-box speciality, you know what Im talkin bout now,
By the way, this songs for you, sincerely, me.
you're more advanced than a cockroach,
have you ever tried explaining yourself
to one of them?

I've just picked up Yes, Virginia... by The Dresden Dolls, and it's excellent. If you haven't heard them before, the music is pretty much German Cabaret meets punk.

The soundtrack to Trigun. Some nice sci-western tunes on there, along with the rocking theme tune. *resists urge to break out the air guitar* :P

Damn yeah - I'm not one for air guitar usually, but that's one of a couple of songs that doesn't leave me a choice.

Coincidentally, I'm listening to Yakitori by Yoko Kanno (from GITS:SAC*) which is one of the others that do it.

*That's Ghost In The Shell for those who aren't anime enthusiasts.

Days of no horizon
Claustrophobia
Conditioned air
Don't crash - no flowers for you
Don't crash - no regrets
Gushing waters
Forcing it down
Days stars final flicker urging on the break of dawn
Stand fast - voices screech below
Stand fast - no clemency
Panic stricken faces
Diving further down into hell
Don't crash - no flowers for you
Don't crash - no regrets
Timeless terror is taking over
Throbbing hearts and restless bones - melted into one
Stand fast - voices screech below
Stand fast - no clemency
Breath slowly fading
Partly anger - partly stress
Stand fast - air is sparse below
Stand fast - no clemency
Been detected
Losing power
Deeper down we grovel on our sweating bending knees
Don't crash - no flowers for you
Don't crash - no regrets
Last moment cries on the radio
It's so hot down here
Crushing metal bloody waters
Same faces everywhere
Now the anger is fading
Now the fight can't go on
We'll always be remembered
We'll always be dismembered
Days of no horizon...

Watching the Led Zeppelin live DVD. Been on a Zep kick lately. Was burnt out on them for the longest time, but now I'm coming around.

Incubus - Make Yourself
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.
