PTP wrote:One of the fael jheherrin Befylam crawled a short distance toward them. It slopped wetly over the rock as it moved, and when it halted, it lay panting and gasping like a landed fish. Resolution and fear opposed each other in every heave of its length. But Covenant was not repelled. He felt wrung with pity for all the jheherrin. "We will speak," the crawler repeated. "You are hard-you threaten us all."
I always thought of him as "the Crawler"

I am guessing this is Korik talking to Lord Hyrim about the Lurker of the Sarangrave. (The Illearth War.)

Ah, it has to be in Gilden-Fire if it isn't in TIW... <sneak...>
I haven't seen my copy of Gilden Fire since early high school... Was looking for it at my mom's place but I think it ended up in some landfill somewhere...

OH that statement is so full of earth power it has to be in the first book - LFB.
Only a lord would speak that way. I believe that is High Lord Prothall to the Council. I think he was saying something about 'when a High Lord doubts his ability to meet the the Land's needs, he may surrender his High Lordship'. or something like that...
Then I think he even told TC he could take the seat if he wished...

Yes, it was when the Ur-viles set fire to Grimodhore forest.
And that's not being sneaky--this is the Stephen R Donaldson Who said that game, it can be any book--maybe if I get a chance again, I'll use 'Ser Visals Tale!!'

That would be (TWL) Hamako at During Stonedown, during the ritual sharing of Waynhim Blood to increase Covenant's power (to pursue Santonin na-Mhoram in). Hamako was instructing Covenant to remain still for the entire ritual so that the power would remain for a day, or maybe two.
How did I do?

Didn't I come up with a new quote already??? I was wondering why there had been no activity here...
OK... Here we go...
"Brannil, has he shown power against you?"
"Then he has none. If he resists, strike him senseless."

The Wounded Land - That was the Graveler of Stonemight Woodhelven. She and the whole stonedown had been corrupted by a sliver of the Illearth stone (she called the stonemight). Covenant was captured there -- after his friends had been taken to Revelstone by Santonin na-Mhoram-in. TC still needed a "trigger" to make use of his white gold.
