Interesting!
So you originally saw yourself as greenie, hue?
That would be my guess, since the sign has now moved.

So, yeah.
Back to my original guess...
Menolly wrote:So, my interpretation of your cast of characters, hue...

Jenn - obvious
hue - the ivory colored one
Vraith - the translucent one, since it is unknown if he'll show or if another will take his place or
___ - since he has no name
SD - totally uncertain if he is green or blue; my hunch would be green as "tatonka" seems more green than blue to me

I would love to hear who all is who in your eyes.
Jenn stays the same
hue stays the ivory colored one
___ is now the western (no longer sheriff) themed one, being no longer blue nor a gummy bear
SD remains what was the green one, since that fellow does not appear to be "a buff fellow", even if his title has changed back recently
Vraith remains transparent, until he shows or a replacement is picked

This is fun though!

How am I doing here?

I am back. Give me back my thread, hue!

10,000 WGD is up for grabs. Let's remember where we parked our excitement and get back online with this.

I can't believe Vraith never posted. It seems he hasn't posted anything at KevinsWatch since the 13th of August. I hope nothing bad has happened to him.

But ... I will review the entries of the four players who did not get on to the Island. One of them is going to take Vraith's place. I don't think Vraith can think that is too unfair since we waited over a week. This will be done today.

When the emergency backup Vraith has had a chance to post their entry and post their answer to the Staff question, we will have a tie breaker for the Staff question. The question was too easy; from now on, they will be much harder, and that's your own fault. :)

When the winner of the Staff of Immunity has been found, we shall vote people off of the island.

Hmm... should we let the audience vote people off the island, and THEN reveal who has the Staff of Immunity? Or should we announce the bearer of the Staff first, and then vote? I had planned on the latter, but now I wonder if the surprise reveal is more fun. Hmmm...

I like the first idea.
If the one voted off is the winner of the Staff of Immunity, no one leaves for that contest and the WGDs are held on to until someone is voted off.

..but then, I always was a softie.

Actually, I was thinking if the Survivor with the least votes, and would be voted off, had the Staff of Immunity, then the Survivor with the next least votes would be voted off.

Replacing Vraith on the Isle of the One Tree as one of the five contending Survivors is:
Spoiler
Krazy Kat!

(The decision was based on number of karaoke words used, audience voting, and my personal rating.)

Let's give our replacement Survivor a few days to post their 14 words and submit their answer to the Staff of Immunity question.

As for the character which is apparently our new Survivor, it brings to mind the saying about all cats being grey in the dark. Not true, by the way!

Hue, I can only assume the supremely powerful being in your latest picture is me. I usually wear pants though.

Krazy Kat: Yay. We have five Survivor's again!

Okay, it seems my Staff question was way too easy (or way too google-able). Everyone answered it correctly.

Here are my new SOI Questions. Whoever gets the most answers correct wins the SOI. Please PM the answer to me, so that other Survivors cannot copy your answers.

For the Staff of Immunity:
1. What Gaelic phrase appears in the first Chronicles?
2. Name two Staff Elders.
3. Name three times in the first Chronicles where Covenant brandishes his ring at someone despite not knowing how to use it.

It's time for the Audience to Vote!

Survivor: Isle of the One Tree

Roughly, Covenant rasped, "What in hell are you talking about?"

Brinn did not speak. But he lifted his arm, pointed in the direction of the Isle.

Somewhere beyond the prow of the craft, a window opened in the mist, revealing a stark ledge of rock. Cross-legged on the shelf sat an ancient man in a tattered colorless robe.

Almost at once, the mist closed again, swirling back upon itself in ghostly silence.

"Yes," Findail said as if he did not expect anyone to hear him. "The Guardian of the One Tree. He must be passed."
Each of our five Survivors has attempted the Mists that guard the Isle. But little did they know, the Isle can only be reached by passing the Isle's Guardian. A confrontation for which they were not prepared...

Which Survivors have best defeated the Guardian of the One Tree? Vote for two Survivors. Vote for the ones who defeated the Guardian in the way you think best. Voting goes until Friday.
  • Hue of Bone had into the water, and spurted to the Isle. He stepped up onto the ledge and bowed swiftly. Then Hue of Bone was struck by the Guardian's oriflammes. With his arquebusses, Hue of Bone dealt out flurries of emeralds. But the Guardian struck with lyomerous vehemence. Hue of Bone was beaten almost. Hue of Bone fought with the ultramontane abandon of a man who had drank. But the Guardian showed no sign of hanging. They reached the edge of a cliff. Hue of Bone heavily grabbed the Guardian's lustre, and they fell. The Guardian had freezed.

Cameraman Jenn envisioned into the water, and pleaded to the Isle. She stepped up onto the ledge and bowed judiciously. Then Cameraman Jenn was struck by the Guardian's carbuncles. With her chickens, Cameraman Jenn dealt out flurries of salt licks. But the Guardian struck with creepy vehemence. Cameraman Jenn was beaten sporadically. Cameraman Jenn fought with the muscular abandon of a woman who had vibrated. But the Guardian showed no sign of recanting. They reached the edge of a cliff. Cameraman Jenn slowly grabbed the Guardian's cheese, and they fell. The Guardian had enraged.

Savor Dam saved into the water, and damned to the Isle. He stepped up onto the ledge and bowed wholeheartedly. Then Savor Dam was struck by the Guardian's kleenexes. With his syrups, Savor Dam dealt out flurries of prisoners. But the Guardian struck with condign vehemence. Savor Dam was beaten condescendingly. Savor Dam fought with the gooey abandon of a man who had expelled. But the Guardian showed no sign of inspecting. They reached the edge of a cliff. Savor Dam surreptitiously grabbed the Guardian's waffle, and they fell. The Guardian had stampeded.

___ surrounded into the water, and attacked to the Isle. He stepped up onto the ledge and bowed mercilessly. Then ___ was struck by the Guardian's castles. With his sorcerer kings, ___ dealt out flurries of spaceships. But the Guardian struck with frangible vehemence. ___ was beaten mightily. ___ fought with the crepuscular abandon of a man who had launched. But the Guardian showed no sign of laughing. They reached the edge of a cliff. ___ drunkenly grabbed the Guardian's clown, and they fell. The Guardian had died.

Vraith spun into the water, and entranced to the Isle. He stepped up onto the ledge and bowed entirely. Then Vraith was struck by the Guardian's tropicals. With his ceruleans, Vraith dealt out flurries of consolations. But the Guardian struck with seventh vehemence. Vraith was beaten readily. Vraith fought with the gleeful abandon of a man who had pinked. But the Guardian showed no sign of waiving. They reached the edge of a cliff. Vraith swimmingly grabbed the Guardian's crystallography, and they fell. The Guardian had bottled.

2. ___ (because he's the only one who got the ending right)

I was laughing at mine as well but because I dealt flurries of chickens which made me think of the ending of the ur-vile battle in fbh. The unfettered one throws a chicken. Too funny. There were actually several in mine that made funny sense, "bowed judiciously," " beaten sporadically," and "the Guardian showed no sign of recanting."

BUT, I am NOT voting. I also snickered at Savor Dam being beaten condescendingly. That was pretty funny too.
