We've got hot and scorching here. At least the lows are beginning to drop below 70 (21 Celsius?) at night. There was at least one day this week when I walked out of the building in the morning and felt like I'd been smacked in the face with a wet dishrag. Eww.

Eww. We've had a foggy August, which is the best kind of August. Wish it would segue into a rainy autumn, but I think we're due for sun in September.

Sorus, I should tell you about my friend from Indianapolis. She visited San Francisco earlier this month and could *not* understand why people think the climate there is so awesome. Fog rolling in at 3pm? Long sleeves needed every morning? She was *not* on board.

I knew someone who moved here from Hawaii who would wear a parka and scarf whenever it was below 60F.

Uh...sounds about right to me...

The temps would be okay, but damp is not my idea of, uh, ideal.

Maybe I'm just too used to it, but fog dampness is nowhere near as icky as humidity dampness.
