Greetings. I be Edd.
I finally got round to signing up here, even though i've been visiting the site for a few years.
I started reading the Chronicles about 3 years ago, so was fortunate enough not to have to wait for so long for the 3rd Chronicles to be released. (Well one of the books anyway).
I liked the series so much, that i re-named a band i was in "ur-Vile".
That's about all i can think of to say for now.....

Hello. I am so glad I found this site! I have been a Donaldson fan for more years than I can say and I am so glad that I have found others like me.
My other favorite is George R.R. Martin who I was just recently introduced to by my son.
I am looking forward to perusing this discussion board in detail.

Thank you. I was looking for the GRRM thread but I couldn't find it. I'm sure I will run across it eventually. There is so much here to look at anyway!

a bit about myself...
I first read Lord Fouls Bane back in 1978 just as it was released to the public, and loved it... I then read all the others as they came out, and have always remembered them...
I also read The Gap series, and that is great also...
then about six weeks ago, down at the local library while looking for something to read, I stumbled across The Runes of the Land...
Needless to say, I was very happy, and the book was ok too...a little predictable at the beginning, however the story did develop, and now I can;t wait for the next one when
