Happy for ya, Furls!

MsMary, glad your toe has healed. Your ordeal has scared me into being very careful about where I step. I'm now like Covenant doing his VSE when I walk around my room.

Matrix- I think it's so cool that I'm not the only other (non-leper) out here who reminds themselves of Covenant doing his VSE! Be well everyone - life is good but it never hurts to be careful does it?

Like posting, for some reason. I find myself restless and wanting to find topics to reply to.

Once AFFC comes out in North America, Murrin, I will give you plenty of topics to post about.

I'm happy -- it sounds like my older son did well on his ACT test this morning. We went out to lunch to celebrate. :) I will be able to go watch my younger son play soccer this evening, which should be cold, but fun. :) And I know that a person dear to me will have a long held dream come true today. 8) Life is good sometimes. :)

It's all for the good, duchess - my need to post translated into a need to write, and I got some new stuff done.

I broke a tooth. :( :x

I put in an emergency call to my dentist, but there's a hurricane coming, so I suspect the office will be closed tomorrow.

OUCH!!!! :(

You might want to check with your local hospital ER -- some hospitals do have dentists on call fro emergencies... :?

I spoke to the dentist already, and he told me to get some OTC dental cement (which I have never used before in my life! 8O), keep the tooth clean, and avoid chewing on that side or getting food in the cavity. He is going to try to see me ASAP - tomorrow, weather permitting, otherwise, later in the week. It's not really bothering me too much, so far, so I should be ok. I don't think the root is exposed or anything - if it were, I would expect a LOT more pain.

In the meantime, we are all set and waiting for the approaching Hurricane Wilma. They are expecting winds in the 70 mph range here, so we took down our sukkah early. My husband did it this afternoon. Normally, it would stay up till after the end of the holiday of Sukkot. Since tomorrow night begins two days of the holiday on which I am not supposed to cook, I did all my cooking today, in case the power goes out. It has already flickered a couple times (our power can go out in a routine thunder storm :P), but I am almost finished.

On the plus side, my foot, though still swollen, seems to be bothering me less, even though I have been busy running around doing cooking and laundry all day. It makes me think it might even be possible for me to go back to work next week. We'll see.

Very tired. Went to the 23rd Annual Gay Oscars last night. It was fun, but some of the drag acts were a little disappointing - Miss Fur Purse forgot to shave one of her legs - and as always the gay community fills me with utter dismay. :?

Great music and good dancing though. :D

Have just gotten back from a delicious lunch at a seaside cafe in the burning hot sun. Now for a little siesta. Ahhhhhh.

Feeling a little bit better - had to fly to San Francisco today. Flying with a cold is HORRIBLE!! But I have a nice hotel room at the Hyatt with a balcony overlooking the bay!
