I made no such decisions. . . but I did make a remark about my observation of the way the universe works.

My weekend starts now. So far I've begun my Modness, relaxed a bit, and ate macaroni and cheese.

I'm having a weekend day in the middle of the week.


Here is my list to do:
2 loads of laundry
eat lunch
shower and get into something other than pajamas
clean cat box
clean toilet and counter in bathroom
dusting
change sheets on the bed and make it
last load of laundry
vacuum living room and bedroom
take things to thrift store
get starbucks
mail bills
make stir fry for dinner
go to anime store
watch 3 episodes of Lost

Work! I worked today and have to spend all tomorrow at work too. I so need a holiday!

Ugh--work! I hope the time at work goes quickly for you.

I've not done much of anything so far. Cleaned my living room, worked out, shopped at Target, drove the teenager where he needed to go. I need to do something more fun tomorrow.

Worked today...

Boiling 2 sacks of crawfish tomorrow. They finally dropped down to under $2.00 per pound live, and it's a beatuiful weekend...so I am going to enjoy it to the fullest!

I was quite productive today! I changed my car insurance, scoped out new places to live, bought groceries, went to dinner with a friend, had a long and very much needed talk with said friend, and visited Borders. A nice full day!

Tomorrow afternoon I am meeting my bro for lunch and we're going to see Sweeny Todd at the cheap theater. Then I have to work on my resume and make more calls about apartments and houses. If I have time I'll make up some projects to sell in my etsy store. I also need to bake something to send to my step-grandmother. In the evening I've got plans to have some tea and watch some Jane Austen on PBS. (And it's supposed to rain too!)

I've had a good weekend. I went down to my old university town and visited with a friend. Today, I'm just going to hang out.

SFA. all weekend long.

The highlight may have been making some bread on Saturday.

My grandmother just turned 90, so we had a big party for her yesterday, and a dinner for her friday night. It was nice celebrating her life; she's always been such a positive person, and believe me, she's overcome plenty of obsticles in her life. Unfortunately for me, the celebration was a bit subdued due to my finding out I'm getting layed off this week. The bad thing about that is the housing market directly influences job availability in my field, and so far the only position I've turned up is about 40 miles away. Heh, I've refused to get internet at home because I'm here enough during the day, but now I might just have to get it just to keep up with my mod duties (plus I'd need it if I end up doing freelance drafting from my apartment. So, if you don't see me around for a while, that's why.

Got snowed in Saturday. Sunday went over to the in-laws' and played in the snow.

Took Cailette to the National Air & Space Museum in Virginia (adjacent to Dulles Airport). Noted a couple of things.....

-Free admission was nearly worthless considering it was $12 to park (and it's not like there's anywhere to park off-site to avoid that).

-The only food available inside is f'ing McDonald's, and the prices are ridiculously jacked up. A salad, a fish sandwich, a small soda, and a bottle of water were $14.

-There is no mention at all of John McClane. Now come on, after he thwarted Colonel Stuart's heinous scheme in 1990 in the adjacent airport, not to mention his brilliant work in '88, '95, and '07, you'd think there'd be some sort of exhibit for him. Nothing. It's shameful.

-The exhibits that are there are impressive. The Enola Gay is there, as is the Shuttle trainer Enterprise. There's a collection of Cold War-era missiles there too, which was really cool. Cailette was amazed that there used to be missile bases around where we live. Thank God we don't live in that world any more.

The nice thing about its location is that it doesn't get really crowded. We were there Saturday, and there might have been 150 people there.

Took Moose to the beach again on Sunday. He had a blast playing with another chihuahua. Took tons of pictures. Had a cast meeting to work on charactor development stuff for the new film project Sunday night. That went very well. Saturday I spent my evening making the massive and delicious vegetarian lasagna that we served up at the meeting. All in all a good weekend. Got my chores done and had some fun time.

Spent most of the weekend being completely useless, or rather not doing anything that involved a real purpose, Got little bits of stuff done around the house, and visited with my grandmother on Sunday. Did get to speak to a few long distance friends which is always nice. Hope everyone is doing well.

Went down to Wilson's Prom on Saturday for a day visit (some friends of mine were down there). My partner was in a huff so it was a bit of a...well... My friends had got back from a hike so didn't want to do anything except sit around and drink so we only stayed a couple of hours before heading out again, stopping at Squeaky Beach.

On the way out (since we were driving at dusk) we got to see: kangaroos, wallabies, an echidna, a wombat with a baby (soooo cute).
