Happy.
Although I do not expect acknowledgement of my birthday very much IRL, it was a nice surprise to awaken to greetings and wishes for a nice day in The Summonsing.

The mayor of Fulton has declared a State of Emergency due to the heavy amount of snow, and especially due to the collapse of the DPW building in the city.
State police are advising motorists to stay off the roads in Oswego County, where lake-effect storms have dumped 3 feet of snow.

It's Monday. I'm tired. I was lazy and didn't do my laundry last night so tonight I absolutely have to go do laundry. Ugh.

I feel a little nervous. I just found out that my roommate will be leaving to teach English in China at the end of APRIL--she was supposed to leave at the end of JULY! What this means is I have to find a new job (this one is contracted to end 3/14) and a new appartment in roughly the same month. I have to move because this place is too expensive for me to rent by myself. She has agreed to move to a smaller place early, provided I can find one. So I'm not sure if I should just start looking for one today, or wait.

I'm a bit annoyed - the Real Estate might be kicking Montressor and I out of our apartment because they are being morons.

I feel fine, other than the lurking feeling that I stay inside too much and don't see many people. And when I do see them I'm like, "Ahhh!! A person!" and I cling on their back and kiss them repeatedly.

I understand that birthdays can be a double edge-sword, I'm expecting one myself in a little over 3weeks, at which point I will be turning 30. I did manage to go through my entire birthday one year with the only person who remembered was my mother. So a big hug, and a Happy Birthday to you Menolly!!!!!!! Glad that you were here so we could share it (so to speak). Hope your day is all that it should be.
P.S. To Esmer, I have a lot of personal experience with your frustration and concern and I wish you the best, you're doing what a lot of people would only say they would do, but never have the courage to face when the time comes. My hat's off to you. *H*

content. julie had today off with me. (making the dog very happy) have three films to watch. reading the marley book, then the stephen king/red sox book. pats in the sb in two weeks. all is well. writing is swimming along.

Back to work today. I just heard the snowplow driving by. It's been snowing most of the night, so it'll be an interesting drive to work today.

I feel better today. We had just enough freezing rain to make the roads slick. All schools in about a 100-125 mile radius are closed. However, the hospital doesn't close for anything. So I get paid to surf today. Whee!!!

I woke up with a slight sinus headache today.

coffee sounds like an excellent idea, I bought some chocolate truffle flavored beans the other day just to be over-indulgent, I feel good today, and got to talk on the phone last night to one of my favorite people in the world, which always makes me feel better; so I think I'll be a little spoiled today

My husband woke up sick this morning. He is huddled under a quilt on the couch and occasionally getting up for a little hot tea and toast.
