I think his solo effort are great. That put me into the mood to listen to "About Face" album.

About Face is one of my favorite albums.

Wow, great stuff!

Spent all night listening to Bobby P.'s solo stuff, got a bootleg of Zeppelin from 1980 in now.

www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/listmania ... 69-4884153

(Bobby P.? as in "...my friends call me Bob" Robert Plant? Saw him in Saratoga Springs, NY!)

mine would be his: Ship of Fools (..at my feet eternity draws ever sweeter plans for me...)

and Zep, for THIS board, TC in particular as the theme, would have to be "No Quarter" (..close the door, put out the light, you know they won't be home tonight...) speaks of warriors waited on in times of war...

I'm in the process of rediscovering Robert Plant's (Bobby P.'s) solo stuff. I'm having a great time listening to Manic Nirvana, a really underappreciated album. It's very 80s, but there's some fantastic stuff on there (see "I Cried" or "Nirvana").

(how about "Highway Song" by Blackfoot? (the only thing I don't like about it is how towards the end they break into what sounds exactly like Freebird, the fast part....)
