You tell us of a wombat with baby and yet you do not provide a photographic record of this extreme cuteness event? Cruel woman!

Admittedly, that echinda holds his own in the cuteness department.

I've been having some trouble sleeping, so I am going to experiment by going to bed and not setting an alarm. This is a slightly scary proposition since I've had somewhere around 5 hours of sleep every night this week, and it is entirely possible that I could sleep 12 hours at a stretch. Wish me luck!

I'm off to Bath for the day. I'm hoping the weather improves so I can snap some pictures without rain...

I plan to spend the rest of the weekend chatting to thefirst, reading, maybe do some writing. Oh, I might also walk into the city and buy my brother his birthday present.

Sounds wonderful, Lore.

I bet he'll appreciate that.

I'm stuck at home doing housework all day...and WOMAN housework at that...dishes and laundry, stuff like that. ;)

Give me an axe and a woodpile, or a car that needs new brakes ANY day, over the cleaning stuff. 8)

And being home with kids; changing diapers; wiping noses; getting snacks; getting meals; getting drinks; getting more snacks, breaking up fights; getting snacks, and drinks...It makes me apprictiate how good it is to get out of the house every day, and difficult the wive's day really is....

just DON'T tell her I said that alright?

You're a good man, drew.
But, trust me, your wife will pay you back many times over if she knows you do appreciate what she does most of the time.

Yeah, it can give her cause to look for sympathy for her day once in a while.
But in the long run, you'll benefit from her knowing you appreciate all she does.

Is that a big snot bubble on it's nose? How odd.

Enjoy your bath. Be sure to scrub between your toes.

It is debauchery weekend this weekend. I will be enjoying the evening with a friend of mine who I haven't seen since his daughter was birfed in December. So we'll be drinking, and I suspect I might fall off the smoke wagon for a day this weekend as he is still smoking. He has already hired the strippers and the pantomime horse costume. I just finished up with the American Gladiator outfits, so we are ready for some full scale debauching. Did I mention that the girlfriend is visiting her family? Well, she is.

Getting sauced later with a bunch of other single and slightly deranged girls that I went to school with. Wish Mickey's Pub was still open the bartender was a friend of mine and her boyfriend was the bouncer, aptly nicknamed "Gorilla", so it made for a guaranteed fun nite of nobody bothering us, but I'm sure we'll make do. We have a DD, and if she cops out on us, there's always a taxi.

Plans, sort of, I'm going to lazy about as much as possible, eat the taboule my mother sent over, watch some of the movies that I never get a chance to when Mini-me is home, and chat to Lore as much as my medications allow.

I think I'm going to a birthday party and eating decadent food (I haven't eaten anything so far today). When I get home I"m making my Bailey's cheesecake for tomorrow. Then tomorrow evening it's the big St. Patrick's Day party with some of the extended network of friends. I've never been to one of their parties, so I'm not sure what to expect. I've been told to expect to stay the night, but we'll see. We will also see if I decide to break my usual 2 drink rule. ;)

Well...

Twice in a row now.
Twice.

Concert postponed

When he canceled the show last year I had won a pair of tickets and this was the rescheduled show. But, they issued refunds for that show as they couldn't reschedule him in a quick timeframe, so my tickets were worthless.

This time we bought tickets. At least a rescheduled date has been set.

On Friday night I went out to dinner with friends. We went to a great Indian restaurant. Anyway, the table conversation was about Creationism. My friends are Baptists and reject Evolution. Well, it was a nice debate. But I now have a reputation as 'the doubter' because I tend to question everything.

I'd rather doubt most things than accept without question.
