A new round of flu seems to have started going around at work. Just when I thought the worst was over for the year...

I have a telecommuting job, and I get cabin-fever.

Oh yes, that WOULD happen...

Now, what am I doing here...?

...I am checking in to write 2 specific posts I intended to, and hopefully I won't get lost / "sucked in" to other things.

Two posts.
Well, actually, I meant 3 posts.

And actually, this one would make it 4.
Too late.

I want tea, but there is a cat on my lap, having a twitchy little cat-dream, so I am a voluntary hostage at my own desk because I don't want to disturb her.

A scene that plays out daily in my house...of course, when the GF is hostage like that, she has the advantage of being able to make me get up from whatever I am doing to make tea, fetch water, or whatever it is...

I usually stand at my desk, and she sits on the shelf over it (see avatar) if she wants to keep me company, but I've been giving in to her urge to snuggle lately because it's been cold and they shaved her little tummy when she had surgery. Of course, most of her fur has grown back, so now she's just spoiled.

Yeah, spoil them once, and suddenly it's the new norm...

Have learned to make tea before turning the computer on. She has me well trained.

I came to check if the place is still here after getting the reunion email. ;)

And stayed to cause trouble. :P

Waiting for the plumber to show up. I keep telling my landlord that the problem isn't in my unit but somewhere above me, but he had to keep poking at it, and now there is a legit hole in my ceiling. Which also changed the drip trajectory, so the bucket failed to catch everything last night and I woke up with cold, wet feet. And he turned all the hot water off, even though I told him it didn't seem to be related. It's not related, and now I've been without hot water for over 24 hours. Rant, rant, rant. Nobody ever listens to me. I would've just called the plumber myself on Wednesday, but I don't have access to where the actual problem is.

Well, first, to answer the question, I'm avoiding doing the one or two things I mostly think I'm supposed to be focusing on today...
