i love Hartford and Gillian Welch doing Indian War Whoop. but have only seen it on the dvd, not on a cd.

now playing...

Son Volt: Okemah and the Melody of Riot

song: 6 String Belief

met Jay's current bassist, Andrew Duplantis back around 9 years ago when he played acoustic bass for Bob Mould in Conn. Andrew still has the same sweater he was wearing that night. saw him wearing it in the dvd that came on the flipside of the cd.

I got a freebee cd sampler (Flower Kings) the last time I was at the music store. I heard a song that's just awesome; it's called "Eyes of the World". Assuming I get my direct deposit today, I plan on getting the cd that song is on this weekend.
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

Thanks to my gf, I've just discovered Guns 'n' Roses aren't as rubbish as I believed; in fact, they have several good songs. So I'm currently listening to Appetite For Destruction. At this moment, it's the riff-beast that is Mr Brownstone.

Does my heart proud, Cov.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I've been in a classical mood this week while trying to fight off a cold. I'm listening to Schubert's 13th string quartet.
