Do you mean a Honeybell tangelo/Minneola, ali?
The best I ever had were from
Spykes Grove in Davie, FL. I still remember making the drive out there as a kid from our home in Hollywood.
Apparently my landlord decided not to pay the labor cost to repair the refrigerator. We now have a brand new Amana, the same size as the Maytag that was removed, only without the non-working ice maker, so I have all of the cubic feet of the freezer available to use.

Whoo hoo! New fridge! Party time!
(And btw, I'd like to meet the person who decided that 3-bedroom apartments need nothing bigger than a 14.5 cu. in. fridge. Arrgh. But I digress.)
Yes, a tangelo. That's the very thing. Thanks, Menolly and CJ! I haven't bought them before -- dunno why -- but they're quite tasty. I got mine at the local supermarket, so odds are that they're from Chile or somewhere equally socially unacceptable... Last week, I bought a bunch of Pink Lady apples at this same supermarket. Couldn't figure out why they were mealy, since apples are in season now. *Then* I thought to look at the sticker -- sho nuff, they were from Chile.

Musta been picked months ago. That explains why they were so cheap....

We're in a 2 bedroom duplex, and the fridge is 22.4 cu ft.
However...
It has the lowest efficiency rating of all models of its type. But I bet it is still more efficient than what we already had.

Leftover home made turkey stew which was made with the rest of the cubed turkey from last holiday season, along with leftover white rice, and onion, carrots, and celery, that all had to be used up by the time our refrigerator was fixed. Ladled over freshly boiled elbow macaroni.
Yummers!!

Oh...
I think the little place on SW 13th street is also called La Taqueria. The place I spoke about before that sells the Mexican Coca-Cola. They make lengua tacos (tongue, right?). For the life of me, I couldn't interest either of my guys into trying them when I had them. But man, they are awesome.

Updated the title of the thread to include brunch, since so many brunches tend to be buffets.
Today Beorn and I had Breakfast Mac and Cheese and tall frosted glasses of whole milk with Hersheys Chocolate Syrup.
...oy, my cholesterol...
But hey, Bhakti told OGC An Absolute Truth that chocolate
always helps when I was feeling worried. Who am I to argue?

Elbow macaroni with doctored up jarred Prego sauce. I sliced a couple of white button mushrooms and let them wilt in the sauce as it heated. A sprinkle of pecorino romano on top.
