Nope. Definitely something more attention-drawing.

To clarify, Savor Dam: we're talking Mallorys at Com-Mine Station, not talking about that other bar on Thanotos Minor/ Billingate?

You are correct, sir. Not Mallory, Thanotos Minor/ Billingate.

Damn...the performer cuts herself open or something like that. Knives are involved. And blood.

Are you trying to avoid being more specific? Or do you just not remember the exact detail?
Come on, get it off your chest...

Haha, no, I just don't remember the details. Cuts her chest open? Her heart out? (No, it wasn't that.)

Well, I didn't want to steal your victory if you believed (like me) that this particular entertainment was beyond the realm of good taste. It was rather radical, after all.

That's two puns from IrrationalSanity hinting around the answer.
You know my fondness for wordplay...

Well, at least I didn't go for "lift and separate". Maybe her name was Playtex...

Fair enough. I credit IrrationalSanity with a correct answer. Pose the next question at your will.
As he points out upthread, this "entertainment" is...disquieting. Leaving aside the issue of whether I should have brought it up, I admire the art in how he verbally sketched in the detail that Av had not. Knowing how to play the judge is a valuable talent!
For those who haven't read the scene, it really is exemplary of the Billingate that SRD creates. Like Mos Eisley in another galaxy, Billingate is a "wretched hive of scum and villainy."

Thanks!
I am glad to have that particular talent appreciated for once.
Let me think for a while on a suitable follow up.

OK, try this on for size...
The special setting Morn used on her Zone Implant to convince Nick that she really "wanted" him, was discovered by accident when she activated two other settings at the same time. What were they?

I think one was like catalepsy...can't remember the other...
(I think the time for a reread is approaching...)

No credit for half answers, and I won't even acknowledge whether the half you provided was actually right...

Hahaha, I'm pretty sure it was...but as you said...only half an answer.

Well, I think (you aren't the only one due for a reread) there was a similar, but distinct setting from the cataleptic that was used in combination with another, but if you manage to come up with the other, I will call it close enough.
Oh, from a hint standpoint, the setting that yours may or may not be was added to the other one in order to achieve the effect.

It might have been catatonia instead of catalepsy. I actually don't know if there's a substantive difference between the two, but I think I remember learning the word catatonia from reading The Gap series.

Well, for sake of clarity, for that half of the answer I was actually going for "sleep", which I thought was called out as something different from the cataleptic state that Angus normally kept her in. (Again, I am probably due for a reread myself...) In any case, it is still only half of the answer.

Yes, time for a reread here too.

On reflection, I think Holsety is right about it being catatonia, not catalepsy, which is not quite the same thing. In fact, the former leads to the latter.
