'Homework'? Lol! Crikey, it's been years since I've had to do any 'homework'. Guess I really am getting old...

Enjoy, Earthy.
I'll apologize in advance for my poor writing you'll come across in those threads..
Hopefully, I am improving over time.
Although I know I still have a long way to go...

Ignore her, Earthy. She's a self-hater. Only she finds her stories to be badly written. Everybody else just thinks they're sometimes quite lengthy.

But now that I'm here... she doesn't even have to worry about that.

Professor. Montresor, sir? When's this book report on Borderlands due? (i.e. - How long do I have to read all the history before I have to come up with a character idea?)

You have quite some time.

The biggest killer to the game is whether I can have in room net access in two months. If I don't, I can't run the game.

I may start putting some information up in a few weeks or a month (maybe sooner), until then, however, you can rely off the old game threads. Any questions regarding setting, I am glad to help with. In the last few pages of the rules thread there was some history stuff that may be worth reading (regarding the RU).

My plan of approach is this: do a large map, but detail only a certain area of it. If the game is able to be played, I'll open up more areas & settlements etc. This allows me to save time, as there will be a large number of locations available at the start for players to visit/explore, and to detail all of them immediately would take too much time. A bit of uncertainty about the Waste is in the spirit of the original map in any case.

You really are an evil, evil creature, Goatkiller666...

Mark 9:47
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell...

And here's a look at the map, without place or transportation markings:

Wow. That's awesome.

I think Syl would be interested in your help making a map over on Acropolis, by the way.

*bows*

I await your decision regarding their status.
...or at least of their status regarding a single Sister being played as a character.

Thanks. I'm quite happy with it too :)

I'm not sure if I could help Syl much, as the system I used doesn't work so well for cities. It might for a modern city, but I don't think it would for his setting.

So, I've gotten through most of the original Borderlands threads. As expected, it's hella cool. And that's just with the fractured picture you get from reading the public posts. I'm sure all the nitty-gritty details that went back and forth via PM were even cooler. Would there be any way that all of those hidden details could be made public as well, since all of that would become canonical history for this new game?

So, do the WFRP rules include modern / future modules? Rules for snipers, artillery, technology of any kind, etc? I'm partial to D20 modern / D20 future, just because I know they exist. If WFRP can do the job too, all the better.

Also, way back in the day, Murrin posted a link to the Steampunk Guide to the Apocalypse. The actual book is no longer there. Anyone who can help me fill this empty gaping hole in my life would be very much appreciated. It looked hella cool all by itself.
