A small piece of advise:
Being proficient at Guitar Hero is not good enough.
That depends.
With the release of
Guitar Hero: On Tour for the DS, I've seen high school girls giggling and admiring guys who have mastered it.
It's the portability of the game and the ability to show off how good you are (there's that confidence hook again) while mimicking a musician that seems to draw the attention of those girls. However, the game is brand new, so proficiency at it may not remain a draw for long.

Which is fine if you're trying to pick up fifteen year olds.
Cag's probably wrong though. He was wrong about the woman-repellant effects of smooth music.

Fair enough.
But the OP asking for advice on getting to know the girl, WGA,
is still in high school.

one point I'd like to make is that you can be in a perfectly good relationship and still be a virgin. I am. And it's not a bad thing, either. Sex would complicate things. And there's plenty of fun to be had without poking.

One of the only relationships I've had in college was with a girl who broke up with her high school boyfriend because she didn't like watching him play guitar hero.
Just saying.
EDIT: I think it was probably more she didn't like sitting around watching him play video games in general, and guitar hero is just what he played the most.

I didn't say playing Guitar Hero: On Tour will help keep you
in a relationship...

I think I'm right about Guitar Hero. But maybe the comments I made about myself and smooth music being a woman-repellant are not accurate because I wasn't listening to the correct smooth music.

First of all I would like to thank you all for the..."helpful" advice.
To all the people that actually care about my situation, I have some good news. She does still like me, she was just having some personal problems that I don't really want to talk about here. I still have a lot of work to do on this relationship, but things are looking up.
By the way... when your trying to impress a girl, guitar hero only really works on girls that are almost completely braindead. One of the reasons I really like this girl is because she is smart, whether she realizes it or not. *sigh*

Glad things are looking up, WGA.

I'm not going to play air guitar or a video game peripheral to impress the ladies. I've got other qualities, for God's sake.

I'd hope that we all do.

I, for instance, have a sharp and acerbic wit, and a boyish charm. Or is that boyish wit, and a sharp and acerbic charm? Or just an acerbic boy?

uh huh.
i don't know what the original post was about cause i didn't read it.
i haven't read anything that pertained to virgins since...well...since
a looooong time ago. (

)
but WGA would be correct, smart girls don't give a flying fart how good
you are at guitarhero (tho Covjr and Cag BOTH looked uber-cute playing guitar in Rock Band

)
smart girls DO, however, sometimes fall for the most RIDICULOUS musicians (i.e. real guitarists.) even dipshits look great playing real guitar (i.e. sid vicious and johnny rotten.)
and so...what i'm trying to say here is that you can't really judge whether a girl is smart or a guy is a dipshit from whether or not they play...wait...
er...i'm not really sure what i'm trying to say. n'ermind.

No, a total overshare would include some compounds words with the second half including -job, and something about a linguist or other. And some stimulation involving numbers.

That's because we are so street, yo. And since Sesame Street is uber-cute, vis-a-vis, etc etc ad infinitum ad astra forever and ever amen.
Yo.
Speaking of which...a supplimental Rock Band disk comes out today and I will be purchasing it. Woo and hoo. And yo.
And WGA, glad to hear that things are well. Woah! And, again I'd like to add - Yo!

Only two things men need to remember about women:
- they are not men.
- they are smarter than you are.

Wait...I don't think Johnny Rotten played guitar. I thought he just hopped around and baited the audience and screamed a bit. I'm not saying he didn't look good doing it though...
