Furls, I did hear back from Fisty about the clothing issue.
He said casual is fine.
I plan on packing nice trousers and shirts/sweaters (depending on weather) for the wedding - and if the day is forecast to be a pretty sunny spring day, perhaps a nice casual "springy" dress.
For the rest of the weekend - jeans and t-shirts/sweatshirts. With perhaps one other change of nice casual in case anyone wants to go out to a fancy restaurant one of the other nights we will be there.
In fact, I should go start a load of laundry now, as I am pretty much down to one weekend - next weekend - to get caught up with laundry and pack.

I have been doing laundry and packing all day. This is my last day off from work until the day we are driving to New York for Highdrake's wedding.
It was a challenge packing, and I probably horribly overpacked. It is the time of year when it could be hot or cold, or most likely to be hot during the day and cold at night, so I had to make sure we had warm weather clothing (jeans and t-shirts) and cold weather clothing (sweaters) for each day. On top of it, with the wedding, I had to make sure we had dress shoes and "nice" clothing - not just for the wedding, but also just in case people want to go out as a group to nice dinners the other nights of the weekend, too. And, of course, as you other ladies know, that means you have to pack undergarments such as slips and nylons that will color coordinate with the clothes (so you are not wearing black undergarments underneath a white lace suit which is a fashion disaster because everyone can see your panties that way).
And since we are going without the children, that meant I got to raid my slinkie nightie drawer...which means slinkie nighties but also the thongs and lace panties and lace gloves and all the rest that go with them. I was just going to pack three sets, one for each night, but I got...carried away... and filled half of the big duffle bag with that stuff.
My hub is going to freak out when he sees how big the duffle bag is, but probably will not mind when he finds out that half the stuff is slinkie nighties and hardly even there matching underwear.
The only things left to pack are my camera and toiletries and medicines - and none of that will take much time or room.
I do not know if this will help with your packing or not Furls!

That's too bad Danlo - I bet you would be sexy as hell in a kilt and all the fussy Scottish stuff that goes with it.
Fisty called me today and I had horrible cell phone reception. I ended up having to go outside in the rain to be able to hear more than one word out of five.
If I end up getting a bad cold before his wedding, it will be all his fault.

Today is the DAY!!! I so wish I could be there to celebrate with you!!
For Eric and Christy on their special day...
Evergreen--Barbra Streisand
Love soft as an easy chair
Love fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you
Like a rose under the april snow
I was always certain love would grow
Love ageless and evergreen
Seldom seen by two
You and I will make each night a first
Every day a beginning
Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
They warm and excite us, cause we have the brightest love
Two lights that shine as one
Morning glory and midnight sun
Time we've learned to sail above
Time won't change the meaning of
one love
Ageless and ever ever green.
Blessings to you both and may your life together be one of joy. I love you!!!
