Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy, the old version, to put the charm back into the story after seeing the new one.

Saw Troy for the first time. What a terrible movie. I shall retain only three memories of it:

Woo! Thessaly! ( a familliar setting, to me at least)

Pose! (Brad Pitt, when he's not leaping about and stabbing people)

"I can kill deer!" (Orlando Bloom, not quite out of his Legolas role)

I enjoyed Troy enough to buy it, and gave it to a friend also, who loved it.

Yep. I'm just glad I waited for the rental. There were some OK parts, but overall this was a poor effort in general. I was looking forward to it, too. :(

At the cinema -

"Kingdom of Heaven": Good cinematography. Felt that the movie was a bit rushed. I hope that an extended DVD version is release since I suspect they cut out quite a bit from the movie to make it shorter.

At home -

"Assault on Precinct 13": Better than I expected. Decent acting, good suspense, alright story line for an action flick.

"The Merchant of Venice": Excellent acting, great filming. Somewhat strange storyline, though that would be Shakespeare's fault. Definitely a bit anti-semitic, though I think the movie tried to curb that a bit .

Just saw Collataral with Tom Cruise, Jamie Fox. It was very well done, and exacly what I'd expect from the same guy that did HEAT and it had that same kind of grundgy feel of real crime and no holding back about how brutal life can be in those situations. Might have to purchase it, cheers.

Yea, this surprised me by being quite good if a little stupid ;)

Yeah, I really enjoyed Collataral. A little slow at times, but otherwise a great movie.

And like people have already said here, I thought Assault on Precinct 13 was surprisingly good. Not as bad as I expected.-jay

Just finished White Noise--better than alot of the reviews I've seen. Held my attention, some good parts. Could have been freakier but interesting tie-ins.
