Hey Danlo - I'm sorry, I still owe you UT tee shirts (from our conversation at ESPNzone in NY.) I haven't forgotten, I'll get them to you.

Congratulations to my LSU Tigers for their claim of the SEC Western Division title.
Now it's on to Atlanta to play Georgia in the SEC Championship game.
This is the second time in three years that we have to play Georgia for the championship in Atlanta. The SEC Championship game should rotate at least between 4 sites every year. Kind of an unfair homefiled advantage built in for the SEC East, don't ya think?
And Sunbaneglasses...I know that you were hoping for the upset yesterday...I could feel your angst all the way down here near N'Awlins!

Alas,I was pulling for the Razorbacks,but if Auburn really deserved it they should have taken care of buisiness to start with. :)And congrats!Beat Georgia,and Auburn will not look as bad.

Well, the season is now over for dem bums, who managed to beat Kentucky today and finish 5-6. Congrats to LSU and Georgia, and I believe my pick will be LSU.

Would y'all mind if we discuss other SEC sports in this thread?
UF's womens team is hosting the Regional NCAA Volleyball Tournament. I think everyone is expecting them to win this round. But, I think Don's Vols were the only SEC team to beat the Gators this season...

What a disappointing game Saturday night. Oh well, we are off to the Peach Bowl.
I am happy about the match up with Miami, though...

:::shaking head:::
I've known since moving to Gator Town that the local school board takes Gator football seriously since all of the schools close down so the kids can go watch or march in the UF Homecoming Parade. But, the school board announced this morning that they are delaying the return to school from winter break. School was slated to start up again on Monday, January 2. Now that the Gators are playing in The Outback Bowl (not even a major bowl) on January 2, school is delayed until January 3, with a 'storm day' taken off of the school calendar to make up for it.
Ah well... I didn't want to travel home from FIL's on NYD anyway.

Well, the SBAC decided to use one of our scheduled storm days, and close the public schools tomorrow in honor of the Gators playing in the Outback Bowl in Tampa. Supposedly too many administrators were planning on taking the day off to go to the bowl. I hope it's worth it...

:::hmm...thought I posted this yesterday:::
Wah!!!
I have known for about six months that the date we chose for Beorn's bar mitzvah is a home football game Saturday. Thankfully, the Gators are playing a non-SEC team, so hopefully it won't be all that well attended and room rates will come down for that weekend starting in mid-August.
But, since it is a non-SEC team, I honestly thought the game would be an early one, say at 12:30 PM. But no, the start time was announced and kick off is set for exactly when services are scheduled to start for the bar mitzvah, at 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 9th. ::

:::sorry for the double post:::
Well, the Gators have started two-a-days, and we're hearing some good things about Tebow. But it sounds very similar to what we heard about Leak when he started his two-a-days as a true freshman.
I still believe Leak can be amazing, if he can just get an offensive line-up as good as he is...

I am a Cal alumnus and Pac 10 fan. Just for the record, Cal is going to whomp on Tennessee this weekend. The SEC has always been overated in my (West Coast biased) opinion.
